Almost sent to a dirty table but was caught and cleaned on the way. Server was nice and sweet. Bar was slow, took a long time to get an old fashion. When dinner was ordered so was 1 glass of wine. After dinner arrived our server was then reminded that wine was never received and still a wait before it arrived. Both fish dishes were very good. The lighter of the 2 pictures was the Diablo, which was because there was jalapeños in the dish which you can see no other heat was tasted. The darker dish is the Mississippi which got 2 filets both dishes by personal preference should get more shrimp, (all restaurants can be stingy with shrimp & we really like it 😁). Ordered shrimp & grits to go more grits was the only feedback other than they were good.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and look of the place. The food tastes great and they'll even bag up the leftovers for you!
The place is nice and the service is good. I enjoyed the selection on the menu, but after settling on chicken piccata. I will think of it next time I make noodles and butter, as the sauce was broken and more like butter with capers thrown in. I’ll still go back, but I’m not expecting much.
This place has amazing seafood. I went out with my mother and my SIL as a treat and a thank you for her hosting us. We all like seafood and I was happy to have found this place from a Google search. We got the alligator to start and it was cooked perfectly with a crispy light breading. I don't know what is in the sauce but it's the right combination of sweet and heat. The herb crusted salmon was cooked perfectly and paired with sautéed spinach. The New Orleans Mahi Mahi took what could be a plain fish to a different level of flavor. And I cannot put into words how good the ponchartrain redfish is. The sauce paired perfectly well and the portion sizes of all dishes was excellent. Alex offered us friendly and efficient service. He knew the menu well and was helpful in figuring out what to order. The food came out much faster than I would have thought given all of the components of the dishes ordered. I would go back to this restaurant again and again. And will certainly return should I be in the area again.
This is always a go to place for my husband and I that is only a couple of miles from our neighborhood and it always offers good food. The Mississippi catfish is simply delicious as is the bread and pesto oil appetizer that's brought out to each table. My husband had the jambalaya, as he usually does, and was very satisfied with it. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and outgoing and the ambiance was spot on, too. We ordered ice tea and it was pretty good with prompt refills as needed. We never need a reservation and always get seated promptly.
