Me and my boyfriend had an appointment with Zoe and she was the best! She was very helpful and helped explain a lot! This was our first time looking at engagement rings and it was the best time because of her!
We met with Zoe for an engagement ring showcase and she was super helpful! She showed us loads of different options all personalized based off the information we provided her with and we were able to find a ring we really loved. Great place and wonderful customer service.
My experience at Brilliant Earth left me feeling misled and soured the experience of choosing a wedding band. My initial shopping experience was lovely, and I ordered an eternity band that I tried on in the showroom on the spot. When it arrived, however, the band was a fraction of the width of the showroom model with much smaller diamonds. The team in the showroom agreed that it looked quite different than the showroom model and offered to have it sent back to be remade in accordance with the 30 day return or exchange policy. I gratefully accepted their offer and a few days later someone from the repair team called me and let me know that they had received the ring and confirmed that they understood the issue and could correct it so that the ring would be the same width as the one I had tried on in the showroom. A few weeks later, I went back to Brilliant Earth to pick up the new ring. While it was an improvement over the first version I had received, it was still a much thinner ring than the one I had tried on in the showroom (I put them on side by side to compare). A salesperson explained that in order to maintain carat weight, a larger number of small diamonds must be used when the size differs from that of the showroom model. I was confused why this had not been mentioned by the person from the repairs team who had assured me that they would be able to correct the issue so that the rings were identical in width. When I inquired about returning the ring since it was different from what I had believed I was paying for, they informed me that the ring had become final sale when it was remade. This was the first time in the shopping or repair process that anyone had mentioned this policy. They begrudgingly told me that they could apply for an exception to the rule, but I would have to decide within 48 hours (30 days from when the first ring had arrived) and there was no guarantee that my return would be accepted. With less than two weeks before my wedding and many more tasks to complete, I gave up and decided to keep the ring. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth that I am now reminded of every time I look at my wedding ring. I was among the first of my friends to get married and it is such a shame that I will have to tell anyone who asks to stay far, far away from Brilliant Earth.
The quality of Brilliant Earth rings is awful. I was so excited to buy my beautiful design from a sustainable company, but I couldn’t regret it more now. This is the 5th time in 2.5 years I’ve had to send my engagement ring back because diamonds have fallen out. Not to mention one time for my wedding ring (which they sent back without the engraving and I had to send it back to get it etched again). After the very first time when the main diamond and several accent sapphires fell out (1 week after being proposed to), I started being extra careful. I keep my rings in the box any time they weren’t on. I don’t wear them when I sleep, workout, wash my hands, clean, etc. all in an effort to prevent them from getting damaged. None of it has worked. I even talked to the repair team to ask what can be done or what I could do better and they said nothing. It’s at the point where I’m scared to wear my rings for fear any time I look down a gemstone will be missing. Each time something happens, I have to mail my ring in and wait a month+ to get it back. Most recently one of the accent diamonds fell off, I shipped it on August 25 and didn’t receive it back until October 21. Now on December 10, the exact same accent diamond fell out. When I was purchasing my ring, the salesman actually steered me away from one design I liked because this was happening so often. So I assumed that meant I’d be safe with my new option. I was wrong. It’s incredibly frustrating and when I try to ask the company how to stop this from happening they have no answers for me. All they can say is send it back and we’ll fix it. But none of it solves the problem. Yes they have gorgeous designs (I adore my rings!) and yes they are sustainable. But the quality is awful, and when you purchase one of their rings, you’re signing up for constant maintenance no matter how careful you are.
I loved my experience with jewelry consultant, Zoe! I had a last minute appointment 25 days before my wedding and she helped me nail down the perfect wedding band! She was patient with me and accommodating when I wanted to try a style they didn’t have in the showroom. She was knowledgeable and taught me a few things too! She even got my ring expedited so it would be here in time for my wedding! Zoe really went above and beyond to help me find the perfect timeless wedding band!
