I visited the Broken Yolk for the first time about 2 weeks ago, and while the food was good, it didn’t quite leave me excited enough to rush back. My waitress wasn't rude or unfriendly just a little flat. That said, I returned with my wife and had a much better experience overall. This time, I had a different server, a tattooed guy and the service really made a difference. The whole visit felt more enjoyable, and it definitely changed my impression of the place. The only downside for me is that it’s loud inside, which can be a bit off-putting. Other than that, the blueberry pancake was finished with powered sugar it wasn't on the last visit. In fact, the pancakes may be the best in the area. The batter seems flavored somehow, and that gives them a really distinct taste that stands out from the usual breakfast spots. This second visit definitely gave me a much better impression of Broken Yolk.

Great spot for brunch! Wish I could come by every day! We had the all American and Belgium waffles with side of sausage and eggs. The perfect meal. Want to come back and try more items!
