I am huge fan of Ajahn Brahm. I started listening him via YouTube in 2012 and used to make notes of his talks "Teflon Mind", " Thinking is difficult, doing is easy", or his anecdotes of Ajahn Chah. His profound teachings had a deep impact on me. I really wish if I could ever visit this place and meet him in person. Pls convey my regards to Ajahn Brahm.
Perth is blessed to have this Theravada Buddhist organisation across their community, and the world is privileged to have access via their popular YouTube and podcast channels. A long-established Sangha with a monastery and separate nunnery in rural settings on the outskirts of the Metropolitan Area, and a Dhamma centre centrally located for the lay community.
I live in the U.S. so I have not been here in person but I have listened to at least hundreds and probably more like thousands of hours of talks from the monks and nuns here. They have all helped me along the path greatly and I hope to visit one day in person. If you are interested in learning about meditation and especially the Thai Forest Tradition of Buddhism, look no further. ☸️☸️☸️🙏🙏🙏
I’ve been going to Dhammaloka Buddhist Centre for a while now, introduced by my parents. I feel so grateful that we have this space in Perth for people to find some peace, practice meditation, listen to Dhamma talks and be part of a wholesome community. 🙏🪷☸️
A place for learning inner peace and joy, this venue has a room where classes on meditation, suttas and life lessons are taught, many of which are recorded on video and posted online. There's also a hall where people gather to offer food and requisites to the monks, and share in the meal which starts and finishes just before noon. The monks are very happy and positive, and it brushes off on the people who come to visit. Check the website for their timetable and what's on and available at this location. There's a small car park, we well as street parking available.
