Five years ago, I started taking my first dog to Dr. Burkett as his primary vet, and he received excellent care until we moved and had to find a new vet. Recently, I adopted a second dog and, despite the long drive, I chose Dr. Burkett again for her spay surgery. The procedure went smoothly, and she’s recovering quickly. Dr. Burkett and his team are truly the best, and I highly recommend them to anyone!

We’ve been coming here for over 10 years and like Dr Burkett but we can no longer deal with the incompetence of the front staff. The most recent issue being that we had to cancel one of our dog’s dental appt the night before because our other dog passed away. I left a detailed VM about it and never got a call back…a compassionate message or even a missed appointment message. The mobile vet who put our dog down even called Buena Vista yesterday morning to let them know he had passed and they couldn’t bothered to call us and acknowledge our loss! A few months ago they mailed us the wrong medicine for our sick dog. And beyond that they have never been friendly or compassionate and seem bothered to even have to deal with people at all. It’s just not worth the hassle to see Dr. Burkett anymore.

Dr. Burkett and staff are always so caring for pets and parents. On top of that, they offer their services for a more than fair price and do not push extra tests/charges. I found this vet on a list when I adopted 'Chance' from the Irving Animal Services over 11 years ago. Thank you!
