Food is amazing and great service. Our shared salad was split without us asking. The best use of truffles in butter I’ve ever had. It is such an easy ingredient to overdue and they nailed it. I’d give them extra stars if I could.
Got counter seating last minute yesterday when they opened, easy online reservation. They even added Happy Birthday to the printed menu for us, very nice touch especially for us making a last minute reservation. Every app and main was amazing. Will be back to try the others, every dish I saw at other tables looked better than the next. Service is great and they cap you at 1:45 but that doesn’t bother me, they’re a small spot but it’s amazing all around. Oh and the truffle butter with the bread, divine!
This place is a gem. We were a little put off by all the rules, but once we realized how small of a place this is, we understood. Service was delightful at this husband and wife run eatery. We sat at the counter and ordered the special, which was a flank steak with chimichurri, mashed potatoes and arugula salad and we ordered the Cacio e pepe. Both dishes were good, but the steak plate was spectacular! We will definitely be back, it’s such a cute place and we had a wonderful experience.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING IN EVERY WAY! My husband and I just moved to Sacramento and were looking for a great local spot, and we hit the jackpot with Cacio. Dining here felt like being welcomed into a friend’s home. The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious, with a warmth you don’t often find in restaurants this good. Katie is an exceptional host. She is warm, friendly, and generous with her time. She chatted with us and gave fantastic local recommendations, which we truly appreciated as newcomers. Her husband Jonathan is a phenomenal chef. The menu is beautifully curated, and every dish we tried was unforgettable. We had the Ahi Tuna (a daily special), Fregola e Gamberi, the Strawberry Mascarpone Tart (a daily special), and the Housemade Chocolate Ganache. The Housemade Chocolate Ganache seems so simple (grilled bread, chocolate ganache, virgin olive oil, and sea salt) but perfect in every way. Surprisingly, this has became my dream dessert. Cacio is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it. We’ll absolutely be back (many times)!
My wife and I visited for the first time and were totally impressed with the food and the friendly service. We had the Marinated Goat Cheese & Tapanade. Delicious! We split the Brussels Sprouts Caesar Salad. Best salad I have had in a long time. And we split the steak special which was delicious. We are new to Sacramento and we will be back!
