Café Fleur De Lis is a solid breakfast spot with a well thought-out menu and a calm, pleasant atmosphere, though there are a few areas where the experience fell short. One thing I genuinely appreciated was the menu design. Vegetarian and gluten-free options were clearly marked, and each dish included detailed ingredient descriptions. Omelets, Benedicts, and other breakfast classics were clearly separated, which made ordering easy and enjoyable. We ordered the Fleur de Lis omelette and the seafood Benedict, along with hash browns and avocado on the side. The seafood Benedict was actually very good. I am not usually a fan of crab or crab cakes because of the strong taste and smell, but their crab cake was surprisingly excellent. It was clean tasting, well seasoned, and easily one of the better crab cakes I have had. The omelette was fine and enjoyable, and the hash browns were good. Unfortunately, the avocado served on the side was not fresh and had brown spots, which was disappointing. Service was slower than expected. Even though the restaurant was fairly empty, it took over half an hour for our food to arrive, which felt like a long wait for a simple breakfast. Another issue worth mentioning is that one of the coffee mugs served to us was chipped along the rim. This is a safety concern, as it could easily cause a cut to the lips, and it took away from the overall experience. Where Café Fleur de Lis really shines is the atmosphere. The space is clean, quiet, and peaceful, with high ceilings that make it feel open and comfortable. It is a nice place to sit, talk, and enjoy a relaxed breakfast. Overall, Cafe Fleur de Lis has strong potential for 5 star rating. The menu clarity, seafood Benedict, and atmosphere are definite positives. Improving service speed, food consistency, and basic tableware checks would make a noticeable difference.
Stopped in for breakfast with a close friend in the month of November after hearing about how good it was, from a couple we went on a tour with the day before. We were seated immediately and greeted very kindly by our server, Bridgette. She brought our beverages right away and I must say, it was the best sweet tea that I've had from restaurant. Super sweet and just right😃. Our food was ready in a few minutes and did not disappoint! I had the oysters Benedict, and it was Delicious! It had spinach in it and was seasoned to perfection 👌🏾. My friend ordered the catfish and grits and the small piece I tasted was so good! The atmosphere was great, very chill and we enjoyed our time there. Bridgette was awesome and obliged all of our requests quickly and didn't rush us. I appreciate the A+ service. Highly recommend and will return!
This was the best breakfast/brunch spot we had while visiting NOLA! We arrived around 11am, and there was a line of people waiting for a table. We were told it would be about a 30-minute wait, so we added our name to the waitlist. We were called to our table after only 20 minutes, which was great. We ordered the Crab Catch Omelet and the Seriously Southern. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The omelet was so creamy and flavorful, and the bacon on the Seriously Southern was just… wow! Never had anything like it. We were sad when our plates were empty! :) I also ordered a cappuccino, which was surprisingly really good coffee. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a great amount of seating, plus a nice bar area. Our server was super friendly and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, we had an amazing experience and can’t wait to come back!
Great food and service. I was standing outside to finish my tea in order to get in. The staff asked me to sit and no need to worry. I tried Seafood Benedict Eggs and it’s great! Tast and texture are both fit my taste. Great place to start a day.
Such a great breakfast spot. I stopped in this morning for an iced coffee and eggs Benedict. These were both amazing! They have an upstairs balcony with seating, as well as indoor table and bar seating. My mom recommended this place to me, and I’m so glad I stopped in. The food was delicious and fresh. The restaurant was pretty empty, with only a few tables with patrons. My food came out very quickly, and I loved it. I’d definitely stop back here for breakfast again. The biscuits my eggs Benedict was on were fresh, hot and melting in my mouth. I absolutely loved them and would come back just for the biscuits alone. Highly recommend!
