Hands down the BEST Italian food in Corpus Christi. If not anywhere. The owner is excellent, courteous and very outgoing. The servers are all family and are all so sweet and kind and attentive. The food is incredible. Everything tastes different, the sauces are all so authentic and all the pasta is made in house. The chicken Florentine soup is to die for. Huge portions and reasonable prices.

OMG! What an amazing place. This is tucked away and easy to miss, but DON’T! Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Our server Mariah greeted us and sat us right away. Her service was so pleasant, very timely, and super informative. We had fried cheese (of course) and Florentine soup to start. The fried cheese had an almost never ending cheese pull to indicate fresh cheese and not frozen. The Florentine soup was subtle yet delicious. I took Mariah’s suggestion and had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Loaded with steak and for the first time here in CC I could actually taste the green peppers, mushrooms along with the steak. Again, indicating the freshness of the ingredients! My wife had the Shrimp Diablo. The pasta was a perfect al dente (as they make the pasta and all breads) in house! The sauce was just spicy enough with a wonderful blend of tomato and spices not to overwhelm the large succulent shrimp in the dish. For dessert, a delicious cannoli. Not too sweet and with a perfect thick and crunchy shell! Please come here! Take my word for it, this is a real Italian joint. I know because I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in New York! Thank you Cafe Italia and thank you Mariah!

Food: The mozzarella bread was good, it came with some marinara. We ordered it to go with the oil dip. Turns out we didn't have to do that! You get complementary bread, which tastes amazing. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was good. The sauce around the ravioli has some small shrimp throughout. My girlfriend ordered the chicken Frances, which had a really delicious light sauce. If you like Moscato, you can't go wrong ordering some here! Service: Friendly, attentive service. Drinks never ran dry. Atmosphere: Cozier space, but didn't feel cramped. Not uncomfortable. Overall, we'll give Cafe Italia 5/5. Looking forward to trying other dishes!

We have wanted to try this joint out and although the food was good we might just do take out next time. Like I said no complaints on the food, it was delicious. Plating was very appealing and pricing did not seem out of line. However they did run out of the soup of the day, we were there at 6pm and they close at 10pm. Also the special was steak and it was over cooked. The atmosphere was decent however the staff were just “there”. No one was rude but they were definitely not the friendliest. When we go to eat we want both good food and a friendly staff. Here we feel cheated because we only received one.
