I called California Garage Door repair and they set up an appointment for a tech to come out to install a garage door opener that I purchased at Home Depot. The tech came out to my house while I was at work and communicated with me throughout the whole process unfortunately, the garage door opener busted once they installed it, it was late and I planned to get a new opener and call to make another appt to complete installation. I called to set up a time for them to come back to my house to install the new garage door opener, with some delays eventually, I was able to get a hold of the supervisor Rami... he's the epitome of professionalism and you can tell his number one priority is the satisfaction of the customer. He immediately set up the time for the tech to come out to my house the next day. I was happy to see that Jeremy T. showed up promptly... he is professional, personable, and got the job done. I'm very happy that I have a new motor installed in my garage door is working once more!
The best company I have ever did business with. By far. My rep. Jeremy was fantastic. From the first day I made contact with Jeremy to the day my new door was installed was 6 business days. Unbelievable customer service. The installer was awesome also. From start to finish it only took around two hrs. He swept out my garage floor also. I am so pleased with this company.
I did get taken advantage of by this company, For two weeks I have been calling emailing and trying to get someone to at the very least send me an invoice with what was done that I stupidly paid $1,000! The tech was late and I had to get a ride to an appointment since I could not get my car out but the guy should have been able to manually open my garage but acted like it wasn’t possible . I now know I will not be so trusting the next time I need work done in my home. I was told it was my electrical outlet that needed replaced so I needed an electrician, which was not true. As I assumed the rain caused the issue and the gfi was tripped outside my garage, which had I found this I would have saved myself $1300.00! You would think that the guy would have looked for this since he said the outlet was bad. He instead claimed I needed a new motor or something I'm not even sure. Of course the reputable electrician that came found this immediately. I still had to pay the $300 service fee for the electrician so was able to ask the electrician to fix a few other things since he was already at my home. I made a huge error by leaving this garage repair person at my home , and then also paid him before I realized what had happened . Be aware and call someone else if you have any issues with garage door/gates etc.... Would like to give 0 stars to this scam company. I was waiting to post a review hoping I would get a response from someone but that seems impossible! I will also be reporting this to BBB.
If i could less than one star I would. So one of my top brackets broke on my door so I Immediately went online to source the parts. Unfortunately, the parts( Wayne Dalton) are few and far which means a week or more before I could get the parts - not an option as I need to get the cars out. Now the brackets themselves are $12 each. So I call this company as they advertise as a Wayne Dalton supplier. I also make it clear that these are specific brackets and I even supply a part#. I'm assured they have the parts on the truck - fine. So I'm called and notified the tech is running behind due to traffic, ok fine I get it. The guy( Nathan) arrives and he's an obvious contractor and not a certified CGR tech. He walks in and immediately takes a look and says $375. I ask "why $375 and I tell him the brackets are $12 online." he then says well they might not be the same. To that I answer "yes they are the same." He then says well sometimes they're not as strong. Again, to that I say they are exactly the same and I grab my phone and show him the exact same brackets with the price. He then says "I don't know man I work for a company." Are you kidding me. Ok go ahead Nathan, I need to be able to access the cars. He then proceeds to install a hideous looking generic bracket on the side that's broken. Now just to be clear I requested both brackets be replaced even though only one is broken. Ok, so he gets to the other side to replace the bracket that's not broken. Mind you this is a very simple job - 10 minutes at most with parts. So as I'm watching, he attempts to install the same generic bracket on the non-broken side. Now the original brackets are at a 45 degree angle at the top that allows the door to lay over properly at the top to clear the spring bar. So after he installs the other generic bracket he attempts to open the door - over and over. Of course it's not clearing the spring bar. I explain to him the door won't lay over properly with the generic brackets - It will work with one generic bracket but not with two. Guess what? he tells me he's going to put the unbroken bracket back on so it will work. He then goes out to call his Manager. He comes back in and says he can charge me $200 for his crap work - SMH. So what am I doing now ? Ordering the correct parts to do the job myself and keeping his crap on temporarily until my parts arrive. Oh and calling his manager. ____________________________________________________________ UPDATE : So just talked to a so call manager. I say that because she sounds like the same person that set my appointment. Here's how I know, when calling back peviously she told me the managers name was Mike. Of course, no resolution to this. She kept repeating like she was reading from a script " the labor rates and parts are inline with our company policy" even though I specified I did not get the correct parts. And after several calls I still haven't gotten a digital copy of my receipt with a breakdown of labor/parts. Oh and get this, Nathan, the tech even called me and asked why I was calling to talk to a manager - seriously. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. TOTAL DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY OF SERVICE.
