We really enjoy Camp Vamonos! As parents, my husband and I really like that the kids are engaged all day, exploring Austin gems, and taking up classic childhood activities (playing outside, learning new games, etc.) without overly relying on screens or doing the same old activities (worksheet-based 'crafts', one activity that is based on that week's theme, etc.) so many other kid camps employ. As for the kids, this is one of the few camps where both my kids drag their feet when it's time to leave; they enjoy their days at Vamonos so much. The hours work really well for our FTE schedules and it is economical- a rare find in Austin. Have recommended to others before and will continue to recommend in the future!

A friend recommended Vamonos to us last year and now we sign up whenever there's an opportunity. My kiddo has a great time and never wants to leave at the end of the day. Megan offers the kids loads of unstructured free play, both inside and out, and takes them on fun adventures. My kiddo leaves camp happy and with fun stories to share. We plan on being long-time guests of Vamonos.

Both my kids have loved Camp Vamonos! It's an old-school camp in the best way - laid-back with lots of free play. Megan usually takes them on a field trip every day, hiking or to a creek to play. She's taken them to the dollar theater and to the UT campus to play ping-pong at the student union. Her backyard is every kid's dream, and my kids like that they have so much free rein to choose their activities, and that it's mixed ages together. SO many craft supplies and activities. Megan is an excellent communicator if there's any issues with the kids. We're in AISD dual language and have loved that she speaks Spanish with the kids too. I highly recommend Megan and this camp!

My kids love playing at Camp Vamanos and call it "freedom camp". Megan always has fun and creative activities for them to do and they love the different adventures they go on each day. Definitely a go to summer camp for us!

Fantastic after school care at a very reasonable price. Our daughter is on her second year with Camp Vamanos and loves all the adventures she goes on. It's a great way for kids to explore Austin and co-mingle with different age groups. Would recommend!

My daughter has been in both the after-school care and summer camp for the past two years at Camp Vamonos! She loves it! I love picking up a happy girl who has been playing outside in Megan's magical backyard, or returning from a field trip at a local park or hiking trail. Being at Camp Vamonos! has helped my daughter become more confident and sure of herself. Megan treats the kids with care and respect, and my daughter feels totally comfortable being with her. We tried a few other after-school care options before finding Camp Vamonos!, and none compare! This one is the best, hands down.
