Randy is top notch. We came to Randy feeling completely helpless with our 9 month old dog. He showed aggression and possessiveness. After training with Randy it’s like we have a whole new dog. I would recommend him to anyone! Thank you so much.

I absolutely recommend Randy at Canadian Canine. I was given Riley, a 16 month old german shepherd x border collie, my first large/working breeds dog. I struggled living with him as he would pull me on walks, jump, run and bark constantly and aggressively at strangers. I knew I was way in over my head... We enrolled in 8 private lessons for basic obedience which worked well for us for two main reasons. First train the dog, second teach the owner. Randy easily had Riley understanding new commands and he turned out to be a happy uncomplicated student, it was wonderful to see. I was the harder one to train! Patiently explaining why his training techniques work, breaking down each command, Randy guided us through training. It didn't take long before I saw a change in both Riley and I. Everyday life with Riley was getting easier and more enjoyable as Randy taught me what he needed to reduce anxiety and become grounded, focused. The private training was worth every penny, it allowed us to focus on what Riley and I needed, which you just cannot do in a group class. Today Riley and I are enjoying walks and hikes. Our relationship has been completely transformed! Thanks Randy!

Randy is very knowledgeable and patient. His expertise is clear and my pup is a whole new dog. She is already far more attentive and she seems to genuinely enjoy working on the obedience as she gets the attention she loves. Highly recommend the Canadian Canine Training Academy for all dogs of all ages.

Randy and Steve, literally saved my late father's dog. To keep a long story short, my father passed away and left behind a 2.5 year old German Shepherd with some SERIOUS behavioural problems. Separation anxiety, destructive behaviour (digging through walls), excessive barking, couldn't walk on a leash, constant pacing, lack of physical boundaries, and SEVERE aggression towards other animals. The rest of the family was skeptical, and there was talk of putting him down. No shelter would have taken a dog with the amount of aggression he displayed, and no sane family would have adopted him. Either way, Randy came highly recommended and we took a chance. I opted for boarding school and private lessons. Because of the training with Canadian Canine, I can bring my father's dog up to the cottage with the rest of the extended family's dogs, big and small. He hangs out under my desk at work when I bring him in, stays when I tell him to, and he actually listens to verbal cues. We just finished our last lesson this week, and I can say without a doubt that Randy and Steve saved my dad's dog. His anxiety has gone from a 10/10 to a 2/10, and we've managed to take him off the anxiety meds from the vet. He's developing a personality and sense of self. If you're looking to be the perfect pet parent, Canadian Canine probably isn't the spot for you. Training with big aggressive dogs requires structure and training. The alternative is living in fear of your own dog. Training with Canadian Canine has gotten him under control and I rarely need to correct him now. If you're looking to get an unruly dog under control, provide them with self-confidence, and develop a great relationship with them, I can't recommend Canadian Canine highly enough. Worth every penny.

We adopted Fraser 10 days before we met Randy at the CCTA. We knew that our new furry family member would be coming with some anxiety and obedience issues from his previous home and we were looking for a training program that could help us develop him into a calm and confident pup and us into better pack leaders. Over 8 weeks Randy helped us to understand Fraser's behaviours and provided us the tools to continue our training outside of class and well into the future. Although Fraser graduated today, we still have some work to do, but we know now how to do it, with a firm but fair and consistent approach. The changes we have seen in Fraser from our first lesson to now have been incredible and we will continue to use our training lessons on a regular basis moving forward.
