This is a great bookstore. I love the selection and how it’s decorated and laid out. They have so many cool events! However, my experience with their customer service has been chaotic. I’ve ordered books online for in store pick up and had two instances where I was given the wrong book, and it was the same wrong book both times! Other times I searched for my book among the orders, couldn’t find it, told the staff, then was asked if I could check again, if I was sure it wasn’t there, before they’d finally go looking and find my book somewhere else in the store. Another time I ordered a book and was told it wouldn’t arrive until January, only to have it arrive on time but not be notified it was ready for pick up. The exhaustion of interacting with their customer service is slowly starting to outweigh the positives of shopping there.
Wow, I just left this awesome bookstore and had to share! It had three floors, which meant tons of books to browse through. Seriously, the selection was incredible – I could have spent all day there. Plus, the staff were super friendly and helpful, which always makes the experience better. Definitely check it out if you're a bookworm like me!
Great selection of books! I liked the banned books section. Bottom floor has fun pop culture items and more great books. It is set up nice so you don't have to spend a long time looking, if you already know what you want.
This is a pretty commercial spot, and not really my cup of tea when it comes to bookstores. I hate to leave only 3 stars, but there are multiple reasons to skip this place if you're looking to shop / explore books: - Pitiful selection - even for the small size of the store, the actual number of books to pick from is really low. The "presentation" is great, but I'm looking for a decent selection. - Almost entirely mainstream / "pop" offerings. - No used books. - Uncompetitive pricing. - Nowhere to actually read - there are no chairs or anything of the sort. Can't sit on the stairs or side benches because it's against the fire code. This feels like a generic Barnes & Noble but with 100x smaller selection and nowhere to sit and read.
Don't miss a chance to visit this charming hole-in-the-wall bookstore on K Street adjacent to The Crest Theater. So many wonderful books to explore as well as a children's book with comfortable bean bag like chairs for kids to sit in. The store also has some unique things other than books, such as tote bag, shirts, stuffed animals, amazing games and puzzles, and other little trinkets. It's so nice to find bookstores still popping up. Nothing is more comforting than flipping through the pages of a wonderful book!
