The food is excellent. It's family style so the portions are huge! Come with a lot of hungry people. The menu is diverse with lots of traditional favorites. We enjoyed everything we ordered. I highly recommend the shrimp parmigiana and the cheesecake for dessert. We took home tons of leftovers, I think tte expect it because they more than happily boxed up everything we asked for. The server was friendly, but they are not looking out for you. I ordered two parmigian dishes, a shrimp and the portobello mushroom. Rather than confirm, the waiter just took the order. Luckily they were both good. We also ordered the porterhouse contadina, at the waiter's recommendation, but he neglected to tell me it was $175 and huge. We already had 3 appetizers and 3 other mains and mentioned we wanted dessert. There were six of us, we wound up bringing more food home than we ate. You could say the over-ordering and not getting the price was my fault, but I would expect the waiter to at least mention something as not everyone is a regular. I guess driving up the check to pad his tip was more important. Anyway, hopefully you get a better waiter when you go. Its worth it first the food and the fun atmosphere with a large group.
One of the best meals we had during our trip, Carmine’s stands out from most other restaurants in Caesars and even the strip as a whole. Located in the Forum Shops, it’s pretty accessible and the exterior is nice and welcome. We had a large party and were able to walk in without a reservation, although we would not recommend this as it was very busy. The hostess and servers were all great, very well mannered and on top of things, even taking photos of our large party when asked. It’s perfect for a bigger group, as it’s family-style. The whole place feels very cozy but refined and there’s a warm ambiance to the place as it was even decorated for the holidays. We ordered a ton of food, probably around 8 plates of things to go around between everybody. There’s also table bread which turned out to be pretty good. Every single dish was good, great even. The biggest standouts were the meatballs, veil cutlet, and the penne alla vodka. The meatballs were the perfect texture and flavor, the same goes for the veal cutlet. The penne ala vodka, and the other pastas we ordered, were all cooked well with a nice texture and flavor of sauce on top. There wasn’t a single dish that went unfinished and the consensus around the room was that every bite was fantastic. This is definitely some New York Italian American cooking done with love and you certainly taste it too. A group of waiters sang happy birthday to a member of our party with some shareable desserts. Carmine’s was an amazing experience from service to atmosphere, and especially food. We would highly recommend it to everyone staying at Caesars and those staying at other places on the strip. It was great and the next time we’re in Vegas we will undoubtedly be back.
Ordered the portobello parmigiana and the lasagna. The portions are huge. Three large portobellos and we could only finish one. Our waitress told us the lasagna was large enough for two people. It was large enough for four people. The food was very good. The lasagna did have a bit too much ricotta and I would have preferred the noodle a bit al dente. Don't get me wrong, Inwould gladly eat it again as is. The service was great. The place was packed and our waitress was very attentive and our food came out quickly. If possible, ask for Jane. She was all smiles and super friendly. As busy as it was (Thanksgiving day) everyone was friendly and very helpful. My only advice is maybe bring some people with you to help eat all that food. I would definitely return.
Our experience was amazing! It was an anniversary dinner and the staff made it so special, the bar manager came over and hooked us up with some complimentary drinks. And our waiter Tovar was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. We got the lasagna and it was more than enough for two people, we had leftovers the next day, and of course so DELICIOUS. We also got the “tug boat” dessert and it was delectable. We will absolutely be returning.
Stumbled upon this place in the Forum shops one day and decided to try it out with my wife, parents and in-laws. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere great. The service was good but the beginning was quite awkward as the server seemed upset and would speak at a thousand miles an hour. He then proceeded to slam the drinks down on the table and disappeared for a bit before coming back to take our order. He seemed both upset and annoyed and started the order with a you know what you want yet, I stayed calm and began to order for everyone as they had told me what to order since they didn't really want to talk to the server as we were all just genuinely curious as to why he was upset. The food came out eventually and was incredible. My father orders a cheese bread to start and it was huge, this is family style dining so everything was in major portions. We also ordered the baked ziti special, eggplant parmesan and chicken parmesan, and finished off with a lasagna dish. We were 7 so we got something for everyone. It was too much food lol, over a pound of pasta per dish, but oh man was it good. We did our best to crush it down before ordering a dessert named the Titanic, big mistake. IT WAS HUGE, and delicious, we could only get through half, think of a banana split on steroids but with other stuff added, chocolate cake, bananas, cookie pieces, vanilla and chocolate ice cream and house made whip cream. SO GOOD!! the server during the back half of the service seemed to have changed his demeanor or something because he finished off very pleasant and a lot more open and inviting with us, maybe he was going through something personal at the beginning but ultimately came around. Great place and I highly recommend trying it out with a good amount of hungry people.
