We ate lunch at the casa ristorante Italiano on King Street, Darling Harbor. We started with a couple of White Rabbit Dark Ales. They were served without glasses, just in the bottle. But the beer tastes the same- very nice! We ordered their calamari, a Caesar salad and their oysters (no name, just listed as large Pacific oysters). The Caesar was crisp with lots of shaved parmesan and slivers of ham or prosciutto, along with hard-boiled egg haves. The oysters were very disappointing, and I would not recommend ordering them. They were served with a couple of lemon wedges. I asked for and was brought some vinegar, a normal accompaniment. The texture of the oysters was best described as too soft and except for one which had an off flavor, they were unremarkable. The calamari were OK but also nothing to make them stand out. We finished with their Tiramisu, which was average (but weak for an authentic Italian restaurant). As you can tell, we were disappointed in meal. Especially considering that we have eaten at four other restaurants along King Street this past week and each of them were excellent. On a more positive side, it did seem like several patrons ordered pizza, perhaps that was casa ristorante Italiano’s forte. Waitstaff were upbeat and responsive. They also should get recognition for their using Greenspace vertical sustainable gardens for growing their microgreens.

Wood-fired pizza, so incredibly fragrant! The signature Casa is an absolute must-try! The salad is incredibly fresh, and I absolutely love it. You can really feel the handmade charm in the pasta—the texture of the noodles is exceptional. The cocktails are all beautifully crafted, and paired with the surrounding scenery, it’s the perfect seaside vacation vibe! Love this place so much!

Yummy yummy! The pizza was incredibly delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside yet still thin, juicy, and packed with flavor. The cheese melted just right, and every bite felt like a little trip to Italy… even though I’ve never actually been there! Sydney has plenty of Italian restaurants, but this one truly stands out. The flavors are authentic, the price is reasonable, the service is great, and the atmosphere is spot on. 100% recommend!

We were celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday, and she specifically requested Italian. We chose Casa Ristorante Italiano for its location and menu, and it did not disappoint. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, the food and cocktails were delicious, and the view was perfect. The only small downside was the ladies’ toilets, which weren’t as clean or presentable as you’d expect from a restaurant of this calibre. Overall, we had a lovely dining experience and would happily return again.

One of my fav Italian pizza place in the city! The Woodford pizza is amazing and they also have a good pasta menu with quite a few options. All pizzas are freshly made in the restaurant. Also, the view is fantastic especially around sunset. Cannot miss if you are in town, plan your visit in advance.
