I was referred to Cathy by a friend. My dog's behavior was getting out of hand - she was getting bossy and unruly (Chihuahua-mix). She is an older dog that I've had for 5 years. Cathy helped us get dialed in on walks and reestablish me as alpha in our house. She's calmed down when I bring her to the office and is more secure at home. Walks are so much more enjoyable for me now that I'm in control. Thank you, Cathy!

We cannot recommend Cathy enough for anyone looking for a dog trainer in the area! From the moment we met her, it was clear that dog training is Cathy's absolute passion. She goes above and beyond, investing herself completely in the relationship she builds not just with your dog, but with you as the owner. In just five weeks with our 4-month-old boxer, Poppy, Cathy has worked wonders. We've established a consistent routine, mastered crate training, and Poppy now confidently executes basic commands like sit, stay, and come. Poppy now walks with incredible confidence and swagger on the leash and she has really come out of her shell to be a super social dog! With so many training options out there, what truly separates Cathy is her unwavering commitment to helping you build a real, deep relationship with your dog. She doesn't just teach commands; she empowers you as the owner to take the lead and really is focused on building a lasting and healthy relationship with your dog. As an added bonus, her weekly puppy socials are something we look forward to every week. It's a fantastic opportunity for the dogs to interact without human interference, and we've seen Poppy's confidence blossom with each session. Simply put, choosing Cathy has been one of the best decisions we've ever made for Poppy and our family. We feel part of every session, and watching Poppy’s progress has been so rewarding. She's a true gem and I highly recommend Cathy’s Canines!

Cathy has been wonderful to work with. Our 1 year old dog Jack was afraid of noises and going outside, and with Cathy's guidance he is able to walk around the neighborhood with little to no trouble and is overall much less fearful and more confident. She has also provided us with valuable tips and shown us how to be the "leaders of the pack", therefore making Jack feel much more secure at and away from home. We still look forward to the weekly Socials and get lots of additional advice along the way. Thanks Cathy!!

Cathy did an amazing job helping us turn our unruly, reactive Boxer into a well-mannered dog. She is still a goofy, high strung dog but now walks nicely on a leash and is well behaved in the house. I did not realize how many of her bad behaviors (chewing, barking, jumping, being pushy) were due to our lack of structure and boundaries. The techniques she uses are gentle and firm - all without aversive training methods (no shock or prong collars) which was important to me. 100% recommend!!

Cathy is amazing! Our 5 year old Husky/Malamute loves to pull on the leash on walks (big surprise), and occasionally jumps when someone new walks in the front door. Cathy showed us training techniques that have really helped us be better dog parents, be more confident, and have helped Kona be a more chill dog. It is all about training the humans to understand how to be a good pack leader, and the dog to understand their place as well. Totally makes sense! Cathy's training sessions were SO worth it. They changed our house vibe for the better and are one of my highlights of 2024. Thank you, Cathy!
