this was my first time coming to Centered Aesthetics, and Ruthie was amazing! She made me feel so welcomed and comfortable from the moment I walked in. The conversation we had was inspiring, and she was incredibly professional throughout the entire appointment. It was honestly the smoothest wax I’ve ever had. I visited Centered Aesthetics for the first time and couldn’t be happier with the experience. It’s in one of my favorite Oakland neighborhoods on a great street to relax afterward—perfect after grasping the table while those pesky little hairs are ripped out with exceptional care. The space is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Ruthie, the owner, is friendly, approachable, and insightful. Living in the Sierras of Northern California, it’s not easy to find someone with Ruthie’s skill who is also willing to work on a man. This was only my third wax after a seven-year break, and while it’s a little uncomfortable in the moment, I felt completely at ease during the process—and very happy the next day. I’ll be back whenever I’m in the Bay, and I’d go out of my way to get the same care again.
