I was here with my girlfriend and acouple friends last night (Friday) for the all‑you‑can‑bowl special and saw the supervisor handle a disruptive group very professionally. We were bowling opposite the pinball/claw machines when a group of younger guys on a nearby lane kept throwing multiple balls down their lane at once. Some balls hit the bar by the pins, bouncing extra balls back onto the lanes and into the gutters. Staff had to retrieve balls from the gutters and reset the lane several times, it was hard to ignore and was definitely affecting our night. Gillian came over the first time and politely explained that their behaviour was causing the lane issues. I overheard her explain that repeatedly hitting the mechanical equipment like that can cause the lane to breakdown, requiring a call to the mechanic to get it working again. When it happened again, she returned and was much more direct about how their actions were affecting the equipment and that they needed to bowl responsibly. After that they settled down. I thought she handled the situation calmly and clearly on a busy Friday night and was impressed. While preparing to post this review, I noticed a few negative reviews from the same night, which honestly surprised me. We enjoy coming here and will definitely keep coming back.

We came to Chateau Lanes hoping to have a fun time bowling, but the experience turned into something completely unacceptable because of the supervisor, Gillian. There was a clearly drunk man in the lane beside us who kept interrupting our game. Every time we tried to bowl, he would come into our space and bother us. Instead of addressing the person causing the problem, Gillian immediately took his side without even listening to our explanation or trying to understand what was actually happening. Her response was, “You guys are four and they are two,” as if this was some kind of numbers game. This wasn’t a UFC match where having equal numbers matters—we were simply trying to enjoy a game we paid for without being harassed. Rather than properly handling the situation, she moved us to another lane and said absolutely nothing to the person who was causing the disturbance. When we tried to calmly explain what had happened, she abruptly told us to leave and even called the police on us without giving any valid reason. When the officers arrived, we asked them to check the surveillance cameras so they could see who was actually causing the issue. Instead, we were advised by the officers to just leave, which we did. It was extremely frustrating to be treated this way after simply trying to enjoy a night out. If Chateau Lanes wants families and customers to feel welcome and safe spending their money there, they seriously need to reconsider how situations like this are handled and who they place in supervisory roles. No customer should walk away feeling ignored, unfairly blamed, or discriminated against.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My experience at Chateau Lanes was extremely disappointing. The staff were unfriendly and unprofessional. Supervisor Gillian Is super Racist lady. While I was playing in my lane, a drunk man came into our lane and tried to start a fight with us. Instead of handling the situation properly, the supervisor sided with him because he is white man even without listening to us and did nothing to resolve the issue. Customers should feel safe and respected when visiting a place like this, but that was not the case here. Very poor customer service and management. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
