I was fortunate enough to be gifted a raku course at Chiswick Art School, and highly recommend the experience. Roz and her expert team gave a very clear understanding of the raku process and techniques, and were on hand throughout to give friendly advice and suggestions. As well as a thoroughly enjoyable day with fellow potters, I was delighted by the results, and will now need to go back to put into more practice what I learned. Great!

I started pottery in September as a total beginner and absolutely loved it, so much so that Mondays might even be my favourite day of the week now!! Eve has been fantastic, patient and inspiring, and had helped me learn so much. There’s still a long way to go 😀 And the school itself, led by Roz is brilliant - lovely, friendly and unintimidating.

I had such an incredible day at the Raku firing workshop with Roz! You can bring your own pots or Roz will provide you with a selection to choose from. We were blessed with glorious weather which was perfect as the day is spent on an allotment - you can almost pretend you’re not in London! I learned heaps about the raku firing process and Roz taught us all about other alternative firing methods that she has experience of. A whole world of possibilities I didn’t even know about! The pots came out better than we could have hoped, clearly the raku gods were smiling down on us. I would definitely recommend to keen potters, beginners and novices alike! I’ll be back with my own pieces soon enough I hope!

Best ceramic school in West London. I have done lessons with Roz for 3 years. She (and her fellow teachers Luke, Ghaz, Andrew and Eve) are all amazing teachers who are supportive and engaging but also allows you to explore on your own. The school is a very friendly and supportive community where you can also buy a monthly membership to have more studio time to develop your ceramic skills or just enjoy the clay making and friendly community. The location of the school is the most idyllic place (Dukes Meadows W4) which makes it possible for Roz to also offer raku and other forms of firings. This is the school where there are no limitations in learning. If you are thinking about it come for a taster class.

Had a wonderful time at the Chiswick art school Raku workshop. The day was well organised and led by an extremely knowledgeable/experienced potter. The atmosphere was both fun and welcoming. facilities were great and Roz provided a wide selection of glazes. I took loads of great pieces back home. Looking forward to going back another time!
