I like thia gym, but they really need to increase the price. Id rather pay $70/mo and actually be able to workout. The base package starts at like $12/mo and its too crowded. A superior business model would be to double profits over night by massively increasing thr price, and just let half the customers go. You'll need less staff, for less clients, and a way more open gym with increased profits. Maybe add towel service or something. Supply=demand. Demand is WAY WAY too high, its too busy. Grade school economics would reflect the price is way too low. Make it more expensive and have some people go to planet fitness. Its a win-win. EDIT: I had to lower my review from 4 stars to 2. If you workout anytime between 6:30 am and 9 pm this gym is just unusable. Its the most crowded gym ive ever seen. Its just too over crowded to get a reasonable workout in. You kinda just have to use whatever you can find open, if you have a specific workout routine you need specific machines youre going to be doing nearly an hour of waiting per workout
Okay review time after nearly 4 years of going to Chuze, Monaco. I really like this gym. The staff is friendly, there’s all the amenities you want, and their smoothie bar is second to none. Seriously, best smoothies I’ve ever had. The only critique I have is that this gym is WAYYYY to political. Like I go to the gym to get away from that bullshit, and they ram it down your throat all year long. Businesses are not a place for political messages. For that you will lose a star :/ loved this gym though will miss it
Honestly I would give this place 5 stars if they could fix a couple of issues that I know patrons have been asking about for YEARS. The infrared sauna is never hot enough to be effective, this seems to be a problem across multiple locations and I’ve heard members complain about it many times. And what major gym doesn’t have working WIFI?! The service in the building is too weak to effectively stream without it. I’ve asked the front desk and emailed about it and was told there was “nothing they can do” and that it shouldn’t be considered a guaranteed amenity…. If they’d fix these issues, it’s a great gym!
Update in January 2026 - still no hot water for showers!! I pay for the more expensive membership so I can swim. When you get out of the pool soaking wet and cold, you need a hot shower. But once again there was no hot water this morning. I told the front desk staff who made the same excuses I've heard before (the gym was busy and the hot water heaters can't keep up). Well it wasn't as busy as it can easily get and instead of making excuses, why not get water heaters, or a system, that can keep up with demand? Or stop selling memberships until you can keep enough hot water for your members who are already paying?? And yesterday's shower fun was having to pick up a big wad of hair that was clogging the drain and throw it away. All the other showers were full so no chance to move. Earlier review from December: I left my last gym because they were not taking care of the equipment. At first Chuze was good about this, but now this gym has gone way downhill (writing this in December 2025). I routinely point out bikes that do not work, where the lever that tightly closes on the handlebars and seats and keeps them in place has gotten weak and no longer snaps into place. This is so dangerous as I have had a bike part collapse on me before and I was injured. At best, it’s annoying for the seat and handlebars to rock back and forth all through your workout. These bikes do NOT get fixed, but sometimes get moved around. The accessible shower in the women’s locker room was out of commission for months, only got fixed for a short time and is now unavailable again. There are already lines for the shower; just imagine when January hits! One of the shower heads is broken, another shower has a valve that doesn’t tightly close so water drips out, and some shower doors are broken with sharp edges. Sometimes you get hot water, other times you don’t (for weeks at a time). The blow dryers that are broken don’t get replaced for weeks. About half of the lockers are out of order. This is so unacceptable when theft is a big problem at this gym. I’ve had 3 friends get their stuff stolen from the locker room. When I point out all these problems to staff, I’m told that they already put a work order in for that thing or that management won’t pay for the necessary repairs. Even when I point out bikes that don’t work to the maintenance man, they don’t get fixed. They had a weight tower on the turf floor with smaller weights and weights in small increments: 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. pounds. These were regularly used by people like me doing physical therapy and general exercises. I came in one day recently and they were gone! Replaced by a smaller set of weights at 5, 7.5, 10, etc. pounds. The exact same weights that you can already get along the weight wall. I begged to get the smaller weights back to continue to do my PT, but were told they were “gone”. A lot of people used these so for them to disappear was totally frustrating! And now the TVs that line the entire gym have things on like the Flintstones and never-ending infomercials! I asked a couple days ago if the TV near me could be put on the news, but was told they weren’t showing news anymore to not offend anyone! Well, having to watch an informercial or the Flintstones for 30 minutes to an hour is MORE annoying!! This is an adult gym, why can’t we have news programs on?? Soon all the people with their New Year’s resolutions will descend on the gym, and the problems already plaguing members will get worse!! Management, get with it and fix this gym!! I would NOT recommend this gym.
You guys really need to get it together with the sauna temperatures…At all locations. They are never at the right temp. Monaco is the only one that runs it at the correct temp…most of the time. Recently it’s fine on the weekends but every Monday I come in, the sauna is way under what an advantageous temperature for a sauna would be. Corporate needs to look into sauna studies. 20 min @ 175 degrees is the minimum with traditional sauna. Again, it’s fine most of the time but recently starting on Monday it’s so far below temp that it’s a waste of a morning to even go over there at all. I have a home gym and use Chuze for recovery. What’s the point if I never get what I need out of the sauna. Then, if I bring it up to staff, you get attitude. If it’s not fixed soon I’m canceling my membership. Rather spend the money on a home unit and not be at the whim of people who won’t educate themselves on proper sauna practices.
