My daughter has taken voice lessons at two separate locations. Neither compared with the instruction she has had at CMA. Her teacher, Nick, knows his stuff and is great at coaching her to her the results she wants. My only complaint is that the parking lot is tight, but we can deal with that for great musical instruction.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons at Cincinnati Musical Academy with Ms. Norma Dieterlen, and we absolutely love it! Ms. Dieterlen is an exceptional teacher who combines kindness, patience, and true musical expertise. She knows how to inspire children and make them enjoy every step of learning. We have seen wonderful progress in both skill and confidence. The lessons are always positive, engaging, and perfectly tailored to her level. The entire academy provides a warm and welcoming environment that makes music education a joy. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nurturing and professional music school where kids can truly thrive.

I have to admit I was really scared for anyone to hear me sing when I walked in for my first singing lesson. I didn’t think I could carry a tune. Booking Tommy lesson was easy and my teacher, Irene, is phenomenal. She is very encouraging and breaks the mechanics down in small chunks to make it easy to learn. I highly recommend the Cincinnati Music Academy and Irene.

Miss Ally has taught my daughter violin for the last two years. My daughter learned violin with the Suzuki method for three years prior to starting with Ally, but we switched to CMA to be closer to home. Ally understood how to transition her from Suzuki to traditional lessons, and developed a supportive and fun relationship with her that keeps her engaged and learning. This year my daughter was old enough to participate in her school orchestra, and Miss Ally encouraged her to play cello because her violin skills are so solid for her age. My daughter’s strings skills keep expanding because Ally is so supportive and constantly searching for ways her students can grow.

I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Joel for several years now, and it’s been an outstanding experience. Joel is an excellent teacher—knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely passionate about helping his students grow. Under his guidance, I’ve made significant progress in my playing and developed a much deeper understanding of music. In addition to private lessons, I’ve also participated in CMA’s band program, which has been nothing short of amazing. It’s given me a true sense of what it’s like to be part of a band—working together, performing live, and growing as a musician in a collaborative environment. With every performance, my confidence continues to grow.
