This place made me fall in love with pilates! The studio is gorgeous and clean, and every instructor teaches class with care and enthusiasm. All of the instructors also have nice variation in what they like to teach while remaining within the scope of that session’s goals, and it always makes for an interesting class. They’ll get you to push yourself further than you think you can go, but never to the point you’re uncomfortable or hurting. I would rate it 15 out of 10 if I could.
I’ve been going to Club Pilates Lakewood for about three months. I have some chronic health conditions that limit what I can do for exercise and Pilates has turned out to be the perfect fit for me. Not only do I feel better, I can actually see the difference in my muscle tone since I started. Last week I had a new-to-me (and also to the location) instructor, named Kimi. I just had my second class with her today, and honestly, I’m so impressed with her teaching ability. It’s hard to describe, but she brings amazing energy to the class, a great vibe. She’s very knowledgeable and also very present during the class—she pays attention to everyone’s form and makes little corrections when needed. I’m so happy she is teaching here and I look forward to a lot of fun, productive classes!
Shout out to Mikayla who teaches varied, challenging and fun Level 2 classes! Always a treat to have Mikayla as a teacher. She is calm while inspiring energy, has a great teaching voice, keeps the class moving at a good pace and keeps class exciting with new, challenging exercises. Thanks, Mikayla!
Shelby was articulate and had a great demeanor for the class. Despite the workout, I always enjoy the calm atmosphere. She was the perfect compliment to that. The music wasn’t too loud which helps me follow her directions. Thank you!
I had never done Pilates before, and taking the intro class was amazing!! They are so helpful in helping you understand the machinery, what muscles are targeted in each exercise, and demonstrating the techniques effectively! Mikayla was our instructor and she was incredible! She is down to earth, knowledgeable, and so kind! I would definitely recommend Club Pilates to anyone starting out new. Will definitely be coming back!
