Called to inquire about the cost for an office visit and a cytopoint injection. I was told the office visit was $100. That seems a bit much but ok. Then was told cytopoint would cost me $373.50 for a 113 lb dog. Are they serious!? My current vet was charging $186 but now charges $208 for my dogs cytopoint which is fine. And their office fee is $85 now which is a bit of an increase from last month. Where do these people get off thinking they can charge $373.50 for an allergy injection when other clinics charge way less? I was looking for a pet hospital closer to my neighborhood but definitely not going to this place.
Have been taking my fur babies to CoastView for three years now. The customer service and doctors are amazing, and every staff member we've worked with has been fantastic! My dog is very difficult, but they always adjust and make her as comfortable as possible. The team is also incredibly responsive via email. I’ve sent concerns and videos multiple times and always received quick, helpful replies. I only wish they had an ER department, but even then, they guide us to emergency hospitals and communicate with them for follow-up care.
CoastView is an outstanding veterinary clinic. 2 staff members are exceptional: Leanne and Ryan. Dr Lina is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. She offers reassurance and guidance making every appt smooth and stress-free. This is not easy with 2 new puppies! She’s amazing with them and with us. We couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!
I highly recommend Coast View vet on the SE corner of Clairemont and Balboa! It is a fear free clinic and the staff are both Friendly and Amazing and went Above and Beyond to diagnose and save the live of my newly adopted dog from the shelter. (A service for a visible problem that the first vet I went to didn’t detect.) My sweetheart of a dog would not be here today if not for the over the top wisdom and kindness of Dr. Stuart. I have been taking my dog to CoastView for a few years now and we have always had a very positive experience. The staff is friendly and personable and the doctors are always on time for appointments. Most recently, I had the pleasure of working with Janel to secure a Health Certificate for my dog to travel from San Diego to London. Janel was incredibly helpful and responsive and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to have a smooth trip. She made us feel like family and even made it a point to be at our final appointment before we left. I'm so grateful to all of the team at CoastView and would highly recommend them to others!
