If you're looking for a trainer and have found Eileen, book the training session! My dog, Murphy, has been going through a challenging phase as she's entered her "teenage" years. I noticed she was becoming hesitant and fearful in situations that she's encountered before, along with being easily distracted on walks. My goal was to ensure she remained confident as she transitioned into adulthood. I was initially hesitant to book a training session via Zoom, skeptical about how much guidance I would be able to receive through a call. I was surprised to find out that Eileen can, and does, learn a ton about your dog through this session. She asked insightful questions to learn about Murphy's personality, and really listened to my concerns. She provided practical tips that I could implement immediately, which led to noticeable improvement in Murphy's behavior within days. I decided to move forward and book in person sessions, and I'm so glad I did. Eileen is not only a pleasure to be around, she's patient and incredibly knowledgeable. Over the course of the last month, in just a few sessions with her (and many hours of Murphy and I implementing her guidance), I'm consistently seeing an upward trend in desirable behaviors from Murphy with her confidence returning. Eileen was also a huge help in furthering my understanding of Murphy's hip dysplasia, recommending gentler, low-impact activities that would keep Murphy engaged while not putting too much stress on her joints. We adopted a new dog who we found out had some resource guarding and stranger danger issues, making it tough to introduce her to new people and even led to her biting us. We found Eileen through our vet and in just 10 sessions and diligent work at home doing the exercises she taught us, we have a whole new dog. Eileen is professional, kind, and (of course) incredible with our dog. I recommend her to anyone who needs some help with their new furry friend and is willing to put in the work!
Our family was going through a hard time with the passing of our dog, Boston. We were facing some challenges with our girl, Lola, and our new addition, Amado. Lola was really not herself anymore after losing her brother and adopting our new boy didn’t seem to help her. We did a consultation with Eileen at the recommendation of our vet. After a few months of sessions with Eileen, we were able to get Lola completely back to her old self and even more calm and confident. Eileen has also helped us train our new boy, Amado, who turns out to be much younger than the shelter said. With that there are new challenges but nothing we can’t handle with the help of Eileen! She is knowledgeable and really understands dog body language and behavior. She has seen it all. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to train a puppy, overcome doggy depression/anxiety, and any other behavioral issues. I also love that she does zoom sessions because it makes it so much easier on me and also helps her see how the dogs behave in their own environment.
Eileen is an exceptional dog behaviorist, and I feel so fortunate to be working with her. Her depth of knowledge and experience really shows. After just one session, her training tips and techniques led to noticeable improvements with my dog. What impressed me most is how collaborative she is; Eileen works closely with veterinarians and even suggested discussing the option of medication with mine. I’ve been working with Eileen since January and it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Out of what seemed like nowhere my puppy of 8 months started attacking my other dogs. I got bit breaking up fights and my two other dogs were starting to get scared of the puppy. People around me said shock collars and Stern punishment was the only way to fix the behavior and I’m so glad I didn’t listen to that. Eileen is amazing to work with, most of my training is done over zoom. She’s extremely detail oriented and truly understands bizarre behaviors of dogs. She’s provided training skills I can practice at home, training to help Reinforce positive behavior and make my other dogs comfortable. Eileen has picked up on things I would have never noticed and introduced me to great Vets! If you are struggling with dog behavior, reach out to her, she’s worth every penny!
