Hello Alask-ians and Polar bears!! This Pilates place was SO THE GOAT! it did take me like 6 or 7 minutes to find the location so lol that might of been on me. Me and my Millenial group got inside and I bought the CUTEST smiley face socks and got our pump on and Clapped back! but Bethany (We call her Betty on occasion) Betty Fell off the equipment and landed on her elbow, My poor Betty howled! She said she was fine but she was very sore, after we ended the class she told me, "I don't think it was just a fall...My elbow SHATTERED! SHATTERED I TELL YOU" So we didn't know what to do, I looked around panicked and threw Betty over my shoulder(Thank you pilates class) And I ran her to the Physical therapy place next door, they ended up calling 911 and Betty got wheeled away in the ambulance. She had a great workout but wont be joining us for a while so she can recover. I might come back but Betty for sure wont!
Buyer Beware: Wish it could have worked out better...Purchased a class package that would be valid 1-year. Between the difficulty of our summer schedules matching, I was unable to attend for the months I was in town. I reached out before I left for a few winter months to inquire about a possible refund, hold, or if I could gift the punch card to a friend. I think my first ask of the refund set off the 'owner' whom I had tried twice to reach by phone message and on the second email, got her cold response and copy of 'non refundable' purchase on classes. That was the first time I learned of her policy, because it was not discussed or shown to me at the time of my phone purchase. Okay, I tried to reach out again, multiple times to look into other options. I received a cold 'shut me out' email with a $100 of my $340 refunded, and no more access to my purchase. The 'owner', (who still has not shared her name, just calls herself 'the owner' even when asked), stopped communicating with a BOLD type email after I tried again to work with her on othe options. She was done with me. Since she canceled me from classes with her 'non-refundable' refund of $100, I am ripped off the balance of $240. What a business practice! Credit card companies are bound to 'non refundable', so it's best to verify, as you can't trust that all local Alaskan businesses are good or caring.
I signed up for an unlimited membership at the beginning of the year - the atmosphere is friendly & studio is clean. There are some teachers who are slower paced & some that challenge you more . I ended up cancelling my unlimited membership due to classes being consistently canceled. I instead, opted to purchase singular sessions and attend classes that are taught by an instructor who offers more challenging formats. In the last month I signed up for 5 individual classes, 3 of which have been canceled, or a last minute teacher change. I understand that they may not have a huge pool of instructors to choose from, but that aspect is frustrating.
Absolutely love this studio! The variety of classes offered keeps things fresh and exciting — whether you’re in the mood for a slower, focused session or an intense, full-body burn, there’s something for every level and goal. The instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and really know how to challenge you in the best way. I leave every class feeling stronger, energized, and already looking forward to the next one.
During a recent business trip to Anchorage, I was excited to try out this Pilates studio, hoping it would match or exceed the quality of my home studio in Houston. Unfortunately, it fell just a bit short of my expectations. The workout itself was too easy—I didn’t even break a sweat. While this might be suitable for beginners or those seeking a more relaxed session, it left me feeling under-challenged. Additionally, the equipment felt outdated, which impacted the overall experience. We also spent too much time transitioning between pieces of equipment, disrupting the flow of the session. On a positive note, the instructor was lovely—very supportive and attentive to her students, which I appreciated. However, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for my studio back in Houston, where the state-of-the-art equipment and tough workouts consistently push me to my limits. This studio might work well for someone seeking a slower pace or just starting their Pilates journey, but for those used to a more intense, dynamic workout, it may not fully meet expectations.
