I approached CDLA at the end of 2025 as most companies were shutting down for Christmas. Although some of his staff had finished for the year, Jimmy the principal took upon himself to call, walk through process and fill in the gaps. I was then assigned to Amin who would lead my matter. He was extremely reliable, knowledgeable and assuring, and despite January being very busy for him, always had the time to take calls and help where I needed it. On the day of court I heard a lot of matters while waiting for my matter and easy to say Amin stood out as the most clear, well prepared and dealt with the magistrate firm and confidently. This lead to the outcome we were aiming for. Would highly recommend these guys. Especially Amin! Thanks guys

⭐ One Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience I have had a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience with CDLA. Over the course of my matter, I was passed from one lawyer to another four different times, and on top of that, three other completely different lawyers attended various mentions. This constant rotation meant that almost every lawyer I dealt with was new to the case, and many had little to no understanding of the matter. On one occasion, a lawyer even asked me in court whether I was pleading guilty or not guilty — a clear sign he had no idea what he was representing. It left me feeling that my case was never taken seriously. Despite being charged $13,200, my matter remains unresolved. Most court mentions lasted only a few minutes. The most concerning issue was being charged $4,400 for a hearing that never took place, after being told by the lawyer that I would not be charged the full amount and that he would discuss it with management. I was still billed the full fee, and the explanation provided was that “preparation” had been done — meaning I was charged $4,400 for preparation by a lawyer who has since left the firm. Communication has been consistently poor — slow responses, messages ignored, and no proactive updates. At times it felt impossible to get even 10 seconds of attention despite the amount I had already paid. The constant change of lawyers meant the direction of my matter kept shifting, and new lawyers repeatedly arrived with no knowledge of the case. In one court appearance, the magistrate even asked whether the lawyer had brought any representation, and he had none — attending completely unprepared. Overall, the service felt money driven, lacking any empathy, support, or genuine care for clients. After everything I’ve experienced, I cannot recommend CDLA to anyone seeking reliable or professional legal representation.

I cannot speak highly enough of my criminal defence lawyer, Amin, for his outstanding work on my appeal. Despite having very limited time, Amin prepared tirelessly with meticulous attention to detail and was able to help me obtain a perfect outcome. From the first consultation to my trial, I felt I was in good hands and he made this extremely stressful experience manageable. Amin’s extensive submissions, exceeding 100 pages, were structured, logical, and exceptionally easy for the judge to follow. In the courtroom, he was well prepared and advocated for me with empathy and dedication. My matter was finalised in approximately 15 minutes. I'm deeply grateful for his commitment and genuine care.
