A lot of construction going on. But they are new. Still 24 hours most days. Their classes are great. Pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room are great. They did move all the equipment around. Hard to find most things now and no more basketball court. They did not honor my almost 300 dollar BOGO deal from it being 24 hour fitness and charged me to cancel. But it’s right across the street from my house.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CRUNCH FITNESS! I never signed up for a membership with Crunch and I started to get charged. I had so many issues cancelling and trying to get a refund over the past month for something I never authorized in the first place. I originally had a membership with 24 Hour Fitness and had a BOGO that should’ve been valid until December 2026. Apparently, Crunch Fitness bought out 24 Hour Fitness and I was NOT notified by either party. In December 2025, I got charged by Crunch Fitness and called them to find out why I was charged for something I didn’t sign up for. They told me that they bought 24 Hour Fitness, but they would honor my BOGO if I come in and speak to a manager. On December 18, I called to find out if a manager was in so I could take care of that and I was told they would NOT honor my BOGO because they would lose money and transferred me to a monthly membership that I did NOT authorize. Again, I signed no paperwork with Crunch Fitness and they took my credit card information that I provided 24 Hour Fitness confidentially and started to charge me. Not to mention they had trouble finding a contract for me when I provided my phone number and name, yet had no issue finding my credit card information. I asked to cancel the membership and get a refund since I didn’t authorize this. They stated I would need approval for it to be cancelled, but the paperwork was filed. I called every week and it was still waiting for approval to be cancelled. On January 2, I was charged for another month of membership. I called again and spoke to Victoria who said she escalated my case to someone named Marissa and that she would process my refund, but she just got back from vacation so give her a couple days to look through her emails. It’s been over 2 weeks since then and still no refund, so I called. Now they stated my refund was denied back in December and there are no notes on my account regarding that. I asked to speak to Marissa and this so called “Manager” said he has no way to contact her even though Victoria, whom is a regular employee, had no problem sending her an email! Crunch Fitness has shady practices, everyone you speak to claims to be a manager, and they have no concern for their “members”. I have never experience such unprofessionalism from a gym and I have been a member of both 24 Hour Fitness and LA Fitness. STAY AWAY FROM CRUNCH FITNESS!
Do not deal with this Crunch Fitness location as they are using shady business practices. My story is below; I've seen other reviews with similar complaints. At the end of my review I've added address of Florida's Consumer Protection Agency. Had a membership with 24 Hour Fitness prior to the Crunch Fitness takeover and my account was frozen since I am a Non-USA citizen who lives outside the country. My account was only supposed to be reactivated when I return to Florida as per the agreement with 24 Hour Fitness and the stipulations in my contract. MY 24 HOUR FITNESS CONTRACT WAS FROZEN SINCE MARCH 2025. In December 2025, Crunch Fitness reactivated my account without my knowledge and attempted to debit my credit card. I do not have a contract with Crunch Fitness, nor did I reactivate my account since I was out of country. In January 2026, I came back to Florida and attempted to cancel my account in person, whereby I was informed I would need to pay for the December and January months as well as a fee since the payment for December 2025 did not go through (I have anti-fraud on my credit card and all charged must be approved). I am preparing a letter to submit to Florida's Consumer Protection Office for this Crunch Fitness shady business practice. I've seen other reviews of people complaining about this as well, and so here is the address of you'd like to do the same. Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division PL-01, The Capitol Tallahassee, FL 32399-1050
Former 24hr fitness member here and then it changed to crunch. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership and sent a few emails. They told me to come in person to cancel so that’s what I did today. When I arrived in person, I was told I needed to give them a 30 day notice. Nowhere in my emails did they tell me this. So in order to cancel, I got charged for 2 full months and a renewal fee. Meanwhile I haven’t gone in months. On top of that, I didn’t sign with crunch and my membership with 24hr fitness was only for a year since I paid in full. Guess Crunch didn’t need my consent to auto renew my membership. And them saying please reach out to us if you have any concerns… lol. My concerns weren’t even solved until I paid $100 for nothing. Please take my money and enjoy using it. Crooks.
Today, I had to call the police on an employee who refused to identify himself as management until the police questioned him. I have never felt more unwelcome and unsafe at a gym than I did today. This incident began when I asked a friendly Crunch employee to look into why my BOGO deal, which I purchased through 24 Hour Fitness, was not showing up in their system. I had previously called 24 Hour Fitness, and they informed me that Crunch WOULD HONOR the deal because they now own those contracts. The employee discovered that my original contract from 24 Hour Fitness was in their system, indicating it ends in December 2026. However, the Crunch account, which Crunch management created without my permission or awareness, was dated for December 2025. He reached out to another person who did not introduce himself as a manager and didn’t speak to me directly, but I overheard him tell the employee that this Crunch location would not honor the BOGO deal because they would lose too much money. They created new accounts for everyone and placed us on a monthly plan after the contract ends, which seems unethical and bad business practice. I don’t work for Crunch, so I don’t understand how this was allowed. I simply requested not to be auto-drafted on the 1st. After working out, I decided to take a picture of the person who provided this information so I could report it to corporate, as it felt inappropriate. This man then asked if I had taken a picture of him, and I confirmed that I did. I asked him to cancel my account effective December 1st. He then claimed he couldn’t talk to me or help me unless I deleted his picture, stating that I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of employees—a blatant lie, as the police officer and other employees later confirmed there are no rules at Crunch prohibiting customers from taking pictures of employees. At this point, the man became hostile. While another employee was helping me cancel my account, this man hovered over them and began copying my information into his personal phone. Feeling nervous for my safety, I asked him to delete my information. He refused and walked away without revealing who he was or why he had taken my information. I decided to call the police because an adult man should not take a customer’s information without permission and then refuse to communicate because he can't control his emotions or is unaware of his company's policy regarding photographs. I highly doubt corporate will respond to resolve this issue, as it has been difficult to communicate with their customer service since the takeover. Everything about how they are handling this situation is wrong. Even the police officer told him they should honor the contract, but the supposed manager claimed that this Crunch location is a franchise and therefore not obligated to honor it—something that only corporate locations are responsible for. I will not trust Crunch with my information or recommend them to anyone. Their business tactics make customers feel unsafe, manipulate data to increase profits, and take information without consent. Thank you Orange County Police for the quick response. I was told if anyone calls or show up at my house unannounced to call them back. The guy in the middle is the “manager” I would be wary of at this gym location. Not a very good guy.
