I had the crazy turk for myself , husband got drink turk. All the Akmas come with the same stuffing you can add or subtract. We got acuka added along with green onions and cucumbers which we had to pay extra for but the acuka was spicy and enhanced the flavour SO much! Took away one star only because I wish they had a bit more variety, especially for kid friendly items. I had to get a plain akma with Nutella on the side for my kid, no doubt everything was baked super fresh. One more suggestion would be to maybe add more coffee variety like capuchino, latte etc. There isn't much parking there we struggled to find a good spot Staff was very kind and friendly. Ambiance was also nice.
My partner and I visited the café while staying at a nearby BnB, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. Crushed Almond Bakery Café offers a Turkish-focused menu with a wide variety of homemade baked goods. We were quite hungry, so we ordered the breakfast set — the Kahvaltı (which seemed to be the most popular item in the café) — along with a feta pogaça and a cheese–onion–potato açma. While the meal was on the pricier side (about 50 for both of us), you can genuinely taste the quality of the ingredients. We absolutely loved the pogaça and açma: warm, toasty, generously filled with cheese, and incredibly satisfying. The breakfast set was also excellent, especially the biber salçası, which was phenomenal paired with the yogurt dip and spread over the bread. We could not get enough of it. I also adored the honey–tahini combination, both the strawberry and grape jams, and even the balsamic vinegar with olive oil. I usually resent vinegar, but this made me realize I’ve just rarely had high-quality balsamic — every dip in the Kahvaltı was exceptional. I strongly recommend trying it. (I only wish they offered a menemen or shakshuka as part of the breakfast options!) On the other hand, the coffee didn’t stand out as much. My baklava cold brew was a bit watery — likely too much ice — and my partner found the Turkish coffee just okay, though it did come with a delicious cube of Turkish delight. The interior of the café is gorgeous, and I’d love to return to try more of their baked goods (that beautiful baklava cheesecake!), as well as their Turkish delights.
It’s a small and dainty Turkish cafe. If you want to try a nice sandwhich and Turkish coffee. It’s a good place to try. I liked almond baklava. Felt fresh
I cannot get enough of this Turkish vegetarian breakfast, lunch/brunch cafe. The semi-retired owner is so passionate. She refuses to settle for less than her vision dispute price; which is refreshing in today's environment. The goat cheese they use is Turkish (made in Germany), which is probably the best goat cheese you can get in town. The salads uses greens from the baker's garden, and the variety of breads they have are made in-house. Their flagship is their baklava. Being able to taste the notes of subtile flavour in them, these are some of the best baklava I had never had. I love coming here for afternoon fresh tea and lunch.
Crushed Almond Bakery Cafe is a true hidden gem and an absolute must-visit for anyone who wants a genuine taste of Turkey. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, making you feel like you've discovered a new family favorite. The desserts are simply amazing. While everything is delicious, the baklava is an absolute masterpiece—perfectly flaky, nutty, and not overly sweet. It pairs beautifully with their authentic Turkish coffee, which is prepared perfectly. The strong, rich flavor of the coffee is the ideal contrast to the sweetness of the pastries, creating a truly unforgettable experience. It's not just a cafe; it's a little slice of Turkish culture. You can even do a little shopping, with a great selection of authentic Turkish goods available to take home. The owners are incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do. I would highly recommend Crushed Almond Bakery Cafe to everyone. It’s a wonderful spot that will transport your taste buds straight to Turkey.
