I started at CCY after a pelvic floor physio told me 'you just need to start doing vinyasa yoga' instead of giving me exercises that I probably wouldn't do. Having never done yoga in my life I was nervous about doing it wrong. After my first ever class I felt instantly at ease and quickly became addicted. CCY Instructors will lead and offer movements but allow you to do what best suits you, your body, and your mind without any judgement. Monica has created such an calm and inclusive space. I started at CCY for a physical problem, and I can say after 7 years at this beautiful studio, my Practice, alongside the wonderful instructors and clientele, has transformed my mental and emotional states as well as my body. This studio has become a safe space and a way for me to practice self care I can sometimes easily neglect. My membership is worth every cent! Life is better when you Cultivate Calm.
The best Yin Yoga classes in all of Brisbane! Such a great vibe in this studio - it truly lives up to the name as an oasis of calm. The teachers are all fantastic, knowledgeable and lovely. In addition to the regular classes, there's always new and interesting workshops on offer. Plus - the studio just updated all their props and the new bolsters are fabulous!
I’ve started yoga last May 2025 because I wanted to rebalance my nervous system. I couldn’t choose a better place to be! The space is so beautiful, when you step in you can feel your body saying “yes! Thank you. I needed that”. All the teachers are super knowledgeable and personable. There is no judgement, only empathy and embracement. There is a lot of love put into this space and you can really feel it. It’s not only about practicing, but it’s a journey within yourself, with beautiful scents of essential oils and relaxing music in the background. Thank you Monica for this amazing experience 💕
I initially started Cultivate Calm Yoga almost 18 months ago as I had terrible balance & some health issues. I was so impressed from the beginning. Fantastic studio & everything is supplied or you can byo. Thanks to Monica & her fabulous instructors and their different ways of teaching all my issues have improved or gone. I am so grateful and can’t thank Monica enough. The classes are so calming, I literally float out after each class. It’s not just the classes, there so many different workshops available and I have done a few and am amazed at how much of a difference they have made to me. I absolutely LOVE Cultivate Calm yoga! 15 months as a member and this is my favourite yoga studio after 10 years of yoga. Monica and the team are fantastic, I love every instructor. The space is divine, such a beautiful room. Yin is my style of choice, they have plenty of classes at differing times. A feel like a new man each time I leave after a class.
