Unsure why it’s taken so long to leave a review, but if you have ever considered trying BJJ there is no better place than CVA. The best decision I have ever made was to walk through those club doors. Ben is an amazing coach and makes everyone feel welcome from The very first session. The entire coaching team are fantastic. Sessions morning, midday and night. There are options for everyone. Do it, you won’t regret it.
I stopped in for an open mat while on vacation. Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming. Rolls were competitive and there was a good mix of skill levels. Highly recommend for any other people looking for a gym while traveling.
Friendly and welcoming atmosphere to people of all levels and ages. High level of expertise from coaches, and a packed flexible timetable for those who work, study or parent. CVA is a great club 👍🥋
I dropped in for a class while visiting Edinburgh. David taught a great class and I got a lot of really good rolls after. I would definitely recommend training here whether you are visiting or local.
Drop in visit on our trip before a globetrotters camp - husband and I messaged prior and he referred us to the schedule and said we were welcome to come in. No fee at this time, no specific gi requirements. Ben was extremely friendly and welcoming, a pleasant surprise when visiting different schools. We got to see him teach fundamentals and hop into class after, he is an excellent teacher and it's a solid crew of friendly people and a clean space. Highly recommended.
