Oh my. We came here for brunch and we were pretty impressed by overall experiences including the quality of foods, service and architecture of the place. I am not sure if this is Turkish or Greek and I am supposed to be cautious about this bc I can’t offend either one of them but regardless all of the dishes we had were delectable. We came here for brunch and ordered Turkish flatbread, Octobus and Sujuk and baklava . I don’t think I had better baklava . It was so dreamy and melting inside of my mouth. It’s not the traditional baklava but it had perfect mixture of sweetness, texture with tanginess from raspberry. We really loved Octopus and Sujuk as the spices with Sujuk were so unique and flavorful. My daughter loved flatbread . I recommend also getting pistachio coffee if you love pistachio and coffee. We will definitely come back for diner !
Great ambiance, friendly service. The food is imaginative and visually striking, but some of the flavors were divisive. The octopus dish (see pic) looked super cool, but it was sliced so thin that the octopus texture was lost. The pork flavor was so strong that there was no octopus flavor either. The phylo/potato/mushroom dish also got mixed reviews from us. I thought the truffle flavor was too strong. The "breaking bread" dish was super tasty: pillowy warm bread and delicious, balanced dips. The manti were incredible: savory meaty filling in a cute al dente package topped with acidic tomato and yoghurt sauces. I would recommend coming here with a few people so you can share many dishes.
We had a couple hiccups during our visit here with our order, but I’ve worked in retail and food before and I understand how things can get confusing and mistakes can be made despite your best efforts. That being said, I’d confirm just to make sure they got it right when ordering. Dalida has a great atmosphere and the location is bar none. The Presidio backdrop is honestly fantastic. The inside is gorgeous and the vibe is amazing as well. The food is solidly good. It’s not the best I’ve ever had, but it’s a 3.75-4 star for me. The fries however are a 5 and we did enjoy the lamb dumplings. The Aleppo Chicken was okay—36$ I was expecting my mind to be blown—but I feel like I could have cooked it at home too. The Kalispera drink was a 10/10 for me. The Ottoman Coffee was fun as well. It was a good experience overall. Not sure if I’d go out of my way to go back, but not a waste of a dinner either. 3.75/5.
Dalida for me is definitely the best restaurant in the Bay Area. I have had dinner and brunch there more than 10 times and the experience has always been impecable: the food, the staff, the ambiance… everything is always on point. Menu has changed a bit with time, but with every new dish I try I just get a reassurance on why this place is still my favorite. Don’t leave without trying the breaking bread, that fluffy pita is to die for 🤤
Turkish cuisine but varied/mixed with different spices and flavors. Highly recommending breaking bread, artichoke, kayseri manti, cop sis skewer for appetizers. The meat choices are really good; especially slowly cooked lamb shoulder (keshkek is fantastic). Really good ambience, good service and good drink options. Price/performance is also great. Some notes: the borek (wish they had more cheese flavor), manti (got a little bit too much of the tomato paste taste in the sauce) and artichoke (would reduce the orange flavor a little bit). Highly recommended place!
