Recently we had Arthur from Dan the Furniture Repair Man recover our main couches in our home. We were so happy with the results, that we had several other items (including recliner chairs) recovered by them as well. Our scope of work included leather covered and fabric covered furniture. Great service, great fabrics (we've stain tested the ones we selected and we were delighted with the results). We needed one or two tweaks after everything was done and the service was great. We will use them again!
I can sit on my chair again! Thanks to Arthur who took my call and fixed a dining room chair. I made sure the only person I can entrust the broken chair is a master carpenter. I am so happy that he strengthened the leg and applied epoxy to replace a missing piece. Definitely well worth the price of repair.
Brought my Hancock & Moore swivel and tilt office chair to Arthur for repair. Chair frame was badly damaged, but I didn't have the heart to throw it away. What a spectacular job! If I didn't tell you where the damage was, you wouldn't even notice. Solid job, fairly priced, and I'm sure I'll have work for him in the future. Highly recommended!
I was in a bind when my in-laws decided they wanted to throw away a family heirloom they considered trash. My husband wanted to rescue this beautiful piece of furniture, but it needed refurbishing. I didn’t know who to turn to and started making a bunch of phone calls. Someone at Parker Upholstery kindly directed me to Dan the Furniture Man. I rang him up, he responded right away and requested that I send him photos. He then immediately arranged for a moving team to pick-up the bar from my in-laws the following week. Dan literally helped me save this precious piece of furniture in the nick of time. He communicated to me that they had quite a few projects ahead of mine and that it would be a few months before they could work on it. I was more than okay with this because honestly, perfection simply cannot be rushed and well, he did me more than a solid by agreeing to store the bar in his shop while it waited to be refurbished. He later informed me that his son, Arthur, would be taking on the task of refurbishing it. I later received a phone call from Arthur and he told me his thoughts on how he would proceed with the project. I was more than thrilled that work would commence soon. The day of the delivery, Arthur and his assistant, personally delivered the bar to my house. They flawlessly moved it up my stairway without hitting any walls and then proceeded to assemble it. The work they did is Simply Amazing. My husband and I are completely enamored with the work that Arthur did on this beautiful antique bar! It is just absolutely Gorgeous! I have every confidence in this family company and their woodworking talents. So much so that the day they delivered my bar, I asked them if they could refurbish my Grandmother’s cedar chest and my Great Grandmother’s rocking chair. Again, anyone reading this, please understand that the process of refurbishing antique furniture is not something that can be rushed. We may live in a world with expectations of immediate gratification, but it needs to be understood that this type of work requires time and patience. Dan and Arthur know what their doing, their work is phenomenal and thus, they should not be pressured or rushed. I would definitely recommend Dan the Furniture Man and his son, Arthur, to anyone looking to get their precious wooden antiques refurbished. I have an immense sense of gratitude and owe them a tremendous thanks for everything they did to help me with my bar because, well, without them, this piece was destined for a landfill. And I cannot wait to see the other pieces of furniture they are currently refurbishing as well.
Arthur and his team did an exceptional job of stripping our old dark wood Ethan Allen dining room set, buffet and re-upholstering the chairs. He is extremely knowledgeable about all things, Furniture and guided me through the process. He was always patient and answered all my questions. He is an expert in his field. I love my new dining room set and would not hesitate to recommend Arthur and his team to anybody who needs their furniture restored.
