Amy was amazing with my first head spa experience! 75 mins of bliss. She was aware of every detail, before, during and after. Total relaxation. Molly offered to fix my bangs for me, as I was in town for a wedding and asked if she thought more of a bang would look good. I did not have a hair appointment but she was generous with her time and kindly helped shape my bangs for me. Lovely people, great vibe in the salon - wish I lived in Baltimore to become a regular! **I was embarrassed to show my hair fully. The twist in the picture sums up what every other twist in my head looked like. What I purchased: Natural/Curly Hair Shaping & Styling, Milbon Deep Moisture, extra time, and gave a tip = $190 Hair type: 3C/4A (Certain sections of hair has loose curls some more coily, but overall my hair is very thick. Duration: 2hr and over 30 mins Prior to my appointment I had a consultation with Selina. I thought she was a great choice since she seems well versed in my wants/needs and had curly hair. Though very loose compared to mine. By the end of it, she had booked an appointment for me. She mentioned to come in with clean hair no products, but it was fine if it’s not. I do like the atmosphere of the salon and how it’s operated. I was given tea (or champagne, that they offered to me). I came in with clean hair, sat in the chair, and she began cutting and adding some oil in my hair. After the cut, my hair was shampooed and then came the Milbon treatment. It’s suppose to seal in moisture to improve softness, elasticity, and long-term manageability. After I got back in the chair my hair looked very dry. For the twists Selina used the Doux foam and started twisting. Halfway through doing my hair, she told me she’d have to do bigger twists because of time and asked how long it’s takes me to do my twists (around an hour and half, I told her). I understand she was rushing, but even the back twists looked uneven. Overall, this resulted in me redoing the twists and seeing some stringy parts. I think Selina is a stylist for those with loose textured or thinner hair, but for my hair type, I wouldn’t recommend. ** They have communicated the issue with me. As a resolution, they offered a partial refund.

First, the salon is so pretty, the environment and just the vibes are on point. Selina took care of my curly cut and frizz treatment, and wow… I don’t think I’ve ever felt cared for as much as I did during my appointment. She taught me about my hair, gave me tips on how to care and shape the curls. I was so excited when I scheduled this appointment, and it exceeded all my expectations. I can’t wait to go back, I will definitely be a customer for life.
