I have always been interested in trying a Latin dance class, but always found the different spaces to be too intimidating or expensive. I stumbled across the website for Daync and it seemed like a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone and I was not wrong. Josh and Amber have done an incredible job of creating a space where anyone of any race or age and with any skillset can come and try Latin dance without the worry of being judged or feeling stupid. I had so much fun and felt so encouraged to just feel the music and enjoy being around other people. There were times when I felt like I was doing amazing and times where I could not find the step to save my life, but i was always smiling! Truly, what a wonderful place to laugh, have fun, meet like minded people, and find healing. I cannot wait for the next class, to learn more, and to hopefully grow friendships and community with this group. Thank you both!

We signed up once with a promotion they were having online and the owner called us and told us the promotion wouldn’t work because we had already been there before, so sure it was a “new student deal”, but online it didn’t say that and we explained this to them and pointed out how the website was clear. They still said we needed to pay more.. so we said “okay give us our money back” and they did. No more business for them. If you made a mistake, own it. Also the owners are horrible and one of them is currently arrested for misconduct.

Attempting to post another review since my last one has been mysteriously taken down, like many others. I danced here in the past and DO NOT RECOMMEND. There are many other studios in Milwaukee that 1) have basic respect for their students 2) pay their staff. Their entire staff quit in protest of inappropriate behavior. Avoid.

Poor treatment of students and staff. Does not honor payments for services rendered. Shady! Not safe for women. Stay away!

This studio provided a home for many of us dancers at all levels to explore our passion for dance and build a community, a community that many of us cherish to this day. Unfortunately, the studio lacks professionalism and respect for their students. They still owe me a $80 refund from December 2023, which, after several months I gave up on collecting, despite repeated responses that it would get venmo’d shortly. I also prepaid for a year long class membership package for which I was suppose to receive 1 free private lesson. That lesson was cancelled multiple times, often at the last minute. I also purchased a $25 class at the end of this summer. The class I signed up for was cancelled two weeks in a row and then classes were cancelled for the whole month of September. Lastly, because of blatant favoritism not all students were given the same level of instruction as others, which is why I ultimately stepped back from the studio despite the fantastic student community that I grew to love.
