Our first Christmas without my dad. We wanted to take mom to a nice Christmas dinner. My sister picked Del Fresco's and it was a fabulous choice. Claudio our server was amazing! Knowledgeable and very friendly. He is definitely a must ask for. And the signature butter cake is to die for.
I ordered a beef carpaccio, shrimp tempura, a tomahawk steak and to drink… tequila Paloma!!! Attention is awesome in this place. Great vibes and perfect taste for food. Be careful because you might need a reservation but it’s worth!!!!! Highly recommend
Virtually everything here is of the highest quality. Jacket services are offered at the door, you are led to your table by staff who really understand the menu and go above typical service, and the atmosphere is excellent. Surrounded by marble and iron yet it remains quiet enough to talk normally. The food is excellent. Fresh honey bread is a great starter. Everyone’s steak was cooked just right with good flavor. The sides were great as well, especially the meatballs. The whipped potatoes were great and I even liked the cheesy potatoes which I normally do not. I do think they would benefit from a bacon mac n cheese or regular steak fry option on the menu. Additionally, the footpad on our table appeared smaller than most causing it to want to tip if too many hands rested on one side. The other tables were much sturdier, however.
This is steak done right. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The meal began with their sweet, warm bread—absolutely addictive on its own but even better paired with the salty, thick-cut bacon. It set the tone for what was to come. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection. You can really taste the difference from the dry-aging process, which gave the meat an incredible depth of flavor and tenderness. This is easily some of the best steak I’ve had in Pittsburgh. For dessert, the chocolate cake deserves its own spotlight. Rich, decadent, and beautifully prepared, it was arguably one of the best I’ve ever tasted. A perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The staff also deserves a lot of credit. Not only were they attentive and professional throughout dinner, but when my girlfriend accidentally left her purse behind, they made sure it was returned to her that same evening. That kind of service goes a long way. I can officially say I’m a diehard Del Frisco’s fan—this will be my go-to spot whenever I’m craving steak in PGH.
My wife and I are making our way around the City and the fine dining restaurants. We exercised the opportunity of Restaurant Week to explore Del Frisco's. We reserved our table in advance and used Valet ($15). We waited to be seated at least 15 minutes despite the reservation. We were seated and it took probably 10 minutes for our server to greet us and take our order. The bread was hot and fresh and filled in the time for our dishes to arrive. It was about 20 minutes for the main dish to arrive. I ordered the Ribeye which was tasty and slightly overcooked from my request of medium. It also has some burnt flakes on it which means that the grilled needed cleaned. The meat was tasty but overly salted. My wife had the Mignon which was similarly situated. The spinach was delicious as was the cheesecake and the chocolate decadent. The coffee was not acceptable but nothing special. The service was not very consistent but the waiter had a good attitude. It was busy so this may have contributed to the chaos. In all, I would return to see if somethings were better without a promotion running, driving up the traffic at the restaurant. The atmosphere was modern and clean and the live music offered a luxury feel.

Experience luxury dining with perfectly aged steaks and impeccable service in Pittsburgh.
