I'm not a serious vintage audiophile, just a guy who thinks music sounds better on the quality old stuff. Bought a 50 YO Scott receiver for next to nothing knowing it would need a complete tuneup. Deltronics charges a $75 upfront diagnostic fee that converts to a deposit if you approve the work. They called within a week to go ahead & order parts with a balance quote of $175. It was ready for pickup a month after drop off. Sounds plenty good to me & I'd do repeat business.

Writing this review years later, but I brought in my non-functioning SX-626, and a little under 2 months later, I got it back fully restored - looking and sounding great. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my stereo repairs. Thank you Deltronics!!

About a dozen years ago, I had brought a frequently used guitar pedal to their store back when it was on Halsted. They fixed it immaculately on the spot and sent me on my way. I found a pedal that I’d never gotten sound out of before and remembered them. While they couldn’t offer the same turnaround this time (understandable!), the service, the fair price, and the staff were all still exemplary. They earned the hell out of a perfect score.
