We’ve been dying to try this place after seeing it all over social media and hearing friends rave about it. We finally went last week for my birthday on a Thursday night, and it was absolutely slammed! Definitely make a reservation. The restaurant has indoor, bar, and outdoor seating, all with a great atmosphere. The New York Italian theme really shines through with the red booths, vintage photos, and classic mob-style vibe. Unfortunately, the service was a big disappointment. We sat down at 6:15, ordered cocktails right away, and didn’t receive them until about 6:50. We actually saw them sitting on the bar for nearly 15 minutes and had to ask our server where they were. The issues continued when she tried to rush us into ordering dinner before we even had our drinks. After our appetizer, we ordered a bottle of wine, and about 20 minutes later she came back asking if we wanted any other drinks—clearly forgetting the bottle we had already ordered. That said, the food was outstanding and truly made up for the poor service. We started with the clams in white wine sauce, which were incredibly fresh and generously sized. For dinner, we had the Alfredo Diablo and the Chicken Parm, and both were fantastic. The Alfredo was silky and perfectly balanced with Calabrian chilis, while the chicken parm had a bold, garlicky, basil-forward red sauce. We loved both dishes. For dessert, we had the olive oil cake, which was rich, moist, and delicious. We finished with the house-made limoncello and were blown away—it wasn’t that artificial bright yellow you usually see, but a light, natural color that clearly showed it was homemade. Overall, we would absolutely go back because the food was that good. We’d just hope for a much better service experience next time.
We had an incredible experience at this Italian restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was warm, welcoming, and truly authentic. Brandon, the owner, came by our table and made us feel right at home, his passion for the place really shows. Our server was fantastic as well: attentive, friendly, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. Every dish we ordered was amazing, bursting with flavor and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a spot where both the food and the service hit this level, but they nailed it. Highly recommend! we’ll definitely be back! 🍝🇮🇹
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **DiMaggio’s Italian Restaurant in Scottsdale is an absolute standout and an instant favorite.** This stylish new spot opened in **McCormick Ranch just a few weeks ago**, and it already feels like a destination. We arrived on a Saturday night and chose to dine at the bar since the dining room was fully booked — always a great sign. The space has a **speakeasy-style New York Italian vibe**, with both indoor and outdoor seating that feels upscale yet inviting. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The entire team — from the host and bartenders to the bussers — was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We were personally greeted by **General Manager Alexandra** and **Chef Brandon**, which speaks volumes about the pride they take in both the food and the guest experience. Every interaction contributed to one of the **best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time**. We started with a glass of **Chianti** (a must at any great Italian restaurant), followed by **freshly baked bread and olive oil**, made in their **wood-fired oven**, which you can actually see in action. The **Eggplant Stack appetizer** was next — a beautiful tower of fried eggplant, fresh house-pulled mozzarella, prosciutto, roasted red peppers, green tomato, arugula, and balsamic. Incredible flavor and easily sharable for 2–3 people. For our main course, we ordered the **Bone-In Veal Parmigiana**, served with a side of house pasta. This was a nightly special and not on the menu — and without question, it was the **best veal parmigiana we’ve ever had**. Perfectly tender, beautifully balanced, and cooked with obvious care. After dinner, we were treated to **complimentary house-made Limoncello** — I had the **Blood Orange**, and my wife enjoyed the **Traditional Limoncello**. Both were outstanding. We finished with a **lemon cake and fruit compote** — light, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. **DiMaggio’s has officially become our new go-to Italian restaurant in Scottsdale.** If you appreciate excellent food, thoughtful service, and a great atmosphere — **do not miss this place. We will absolutely be back.**
We showed up at 5PM without a reservation (don’t make that mistake) and were kindly seated at the bar which turned out to be a great thing because Jamal the bartender was phenomenal. He made everyone feel so welcome, enthusiastically described the house specials and expertly prepared drinks. The lasagne was melt in your mouth delicious (and a huge serving!) the PEI mussels were plump and spicy! Be sure to save room for the sweet cannoli!! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience DiMaggio’s - can’t wait to return 🍷
