We stopped in for St. Patrick's week after seeing a sign about it at Lunch Box, and I'm really glad we did! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming to us from the moment we walked in. Our waiter was really nice and joked around a lot. The jalapeno gimlet was a fun twist, and they even made it greener for me so I didn't feel left out 🍀. The food was really good! Corned beef with almost melting cabbage and accompanied by multiple mustards and horseradish. The "Spice Bag" with fries, fried chicken, onions/peppers and curry was amazing. The fries were very British "chip" like, and that curry sauce was so much more flavorful than any pub curry I've had. I would put that on a lot of things. Overall a really great experience. It has the vibe of a fun casual almost divey/friendly/older bar, but then it doesn't feel old and actually is way nicer and cleaner. A spacious area with pinball in the back. We hope to return soon, especially because I saw lemon pepper wings on their menu.

Walking by, I always thought this place was abandoned. It’s not, it just opens 4-8. After 2 years I finally went to try their food. My burger was delicious. Service was good, family own/run. A good amount of customers for a Thursday evening. Will be back when Im craving bar-ey food.

Amazing food, even better service! Great hospitality and the food is so tasty. They usually have awesome specials on Fridays! Definitely a must-see when you’re in Oakland looking for a good place for dinner or a bar with a very friendly bartender who knows what he’s doing.

This is the first bar/restaurant I have ever given 5 stars. The cocktails and specials are excellent. If you have an evening to spend in Downtown Oakland spend it here!
