Lana’s is a great spot in Oakland with a really welcoming vibe. The ambience strikes a nice balance between cozy and stylish, making it perfect for both a relaxed dinner or a casual night out. The food is solid and thoughtfully prepared, with flavors that feel fresh and well-executed. You can tell care goes into the dishes, and everything we tried was enjoyable and satisfying. What really stands out is the staff and ownership. The team is friendly, attentive, and genuinely wants you to have a good experience. The owner is hands-on, warm, and clearly passionate about the restaurant, which adds a personal touch you don’t always get. Overall, Lana’s delivers great energy, good food, and excellent hospitality. Definitely a place I’d recommend and happily return to.
I’m not the biggest fan of Smashburgers (Give me a fat juicy patty any day), but these are pretty good. The real reason to go here is for the amazing ice cream. If you’ve heard about their banana oreo flavor, it is very much worth the hype. Overall, a local business worth supporting.
Come buy this fast while they're still not mainstream. Cleanest, quietest little gem. I apologize for the sloppy cross section, I had to chug half of it down in a bite (I had no choice). The okie and the classic are out of this world! (maybe the rest too, didn't try yet). Their fries are fried in tallow!!! They have amazing real ice cream for dessert too! I went to my church today, it was closed, so I came here. God, bless your ways and thank You for guiding me to the light!
Pros: got the OG burger without ketchup or mustard, added bacon and lettuce - best smash burger I’ve ever had. Thin and crispy, full of flavor. Got hot fries (with Cajun seasoning) - amazing and delicious! Got a single scoop of Thai tea ice cream and it was so bold and creamy. Atmosphere was nostalgic of classic diner and clean. Service was friendly and fast. No notes.
Cool little spot I stopped in to grab some ice cream on a weeknight. The place was open late and worked out perfectly. I was drawn in by the banana Oreo flavor which was a first for me and I have to say it was super tasty. Ice cream was firm but creamy and definitely had a well pronounced banana flavor. Their cookies looked good as well but ice cream seems to be the star of the show despite having some other entree options as well. The interior was bright and clean and had nice art work around. Overall great place to stop if you’re in the area.
