Brought my car in for a highway vibration and was told it was due to two bent front wheels. They replaced them and “balanced” the tires, but completely missed the actual cause. Because they failed to diagnose it properly, they then counterbalanced the wheels just to make the numbers seem right. They never test drove the car before or after the repair—basic practice for any vibration complaint. The real issues were later identified elsewhere: a sticking front caliper and worn ball joints, which had already caused visible tire cupping—something that should have been obvious during a proper inspection. The car also requires an alignment after those repairs, which was never mentioned. This was not a complex diagnosis. These are fundamental issues that directly affect ride quality and tire wear. Instead of identifying them, they focused on the wrong fix. They also knew I was traveling alone from out of town and had stopped there due to safety concerns. At best, this was careless and below standard. At worst, it feels like they prioritized pushing the job through and selling new wheels rather than actually solving the problem that was actively damaging my car.

Discount Tire told me my wipers were streaking. I don’t usually fall for this tactic, but they were offering both for $10. I washed my car the next day and lifted the wiper, and the blades fell off. They didn't properly fit my car. Only the weight of the wiper held the blades on there. They took my expensive blades off and put this junk on there. In addition, after putting the new tires on, I felt a shimmy in my car. I brought the car back in. They put the wheel on the balancer and told me it balanced, and that my wheel was bent. It was not. I had the tire replaced and the car rides as smooth as glass.

I had a terrible experience with Discount Tire and I’m honestly shocked at how unprofessional and incompetent the service was.I went there because my tire pressure sensor light was on. The technician told me one of my sensors was not working and needed to be replaced. Fine I agreed, paid $83,45 and wasted about an hour of my time. When they said the car was ready, I checked the dashboard ,the tire pressure light was STILL ON. When I asked why, they told me to drive 10 miles and it will reset. That’s complete nonsense. I’ve been driving since I was 17 ,when a sensor is properly replaced, the light usually goes off almost immediately, not after some random 10,mile drive. It sounded like pure BS.Of course, the light didn’t go away. I had to come back the next day, wasting even more of my time. This time, they just reset the system and tried to send me off like nothing was wrong. That’s not fixing the problem ,that’s hiding it. They basically cleared the sensor from the system and acted like everything was fine. The worst part? The staff acted like I didn’t understand anything and tried to talk nonsense to my face. Very unprofessional, very disrespectful, and clearly not knowledgeable.Because of their incompetence, I lost TWO days and now I have to go back AGAIN on Monday. I will NEVER come back here after this. Terrible service, unskilled staff, and a complete waste of time and money.Avoid this place if you don’t want to be lied to and treated like you don’t know anything. On top of everything, I’ve already wasted time writing this review while dealing with their mess. This whole situation has dragged out for 3 days because of them. Now I have to go back again on Monday, and honestly, I just hope they don’t try to scam me again by deactivating all my tire pressure sensors just to get rid of me instead of actually fixing the problem. At this point, I don’t trust anything they say or do!!!!

I had a fantastic experience at Discount Tire on McKnight Road in Pittsburgh. The team provided prompt and efficient service and quickly got to work diagnosing the issue with my car. After some troubleshooting, they figured out the root cause right away—it turns out I had a bent wheel, but the tires I had previously purchased there were still in great shape. I really appreciated how quickly they solved the problem and got me safely back on the road at a very fair price. The staff were knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely nice guys. Excellent customer service all around. Let’s be honest. Pittsburgh potholes make places like Discount Tire part of the local survival toolkit. If a pothole wins the battle with your car, these guys are definitely the team you want helping you recover. Highly recommend!
