I ordered the Flora and let me tell you — from the very moment my lips touched the cup, I knew I had stepped into another dimension. This isn’t just espresso; it’s artistry. It’s alchemy. It’s what happens when coffee decides to put on a silk robe, light incense, and whisper poetry. The first sip? Floral, creamy, soft — yet confident. That oat milk-kissed espresso wrapped itself around my palate like a warm hug from the universe. The lavender honey syrup added a gentle sweetness, not loud or perfumey — just enough to let you know she’s divine. The rosewater? A subtle spiritual elevation. The candied lemon powder? A bright kiss on the finish. And the fleur de sel sealed it — a tiny spark that made every flavor stand at attention. I tasted everything. Every intentional note. And with each sip, it only got better. By the time I reached the bottom of the cup, I wasn't ready to say goodbye. This was easily the best espresso-based drink I’ve ever had. I dream of this place….i only get to visit once or twice a year when I visit my bestie but it’s already a standard: if I’m there we’re going to discourse as soon as possible. I’ve never experienced anything like the concoctions here and I try a LOT of coffee shops. Every single drink I’ve had here has been incredibly delicious, unique and full of flavor. I do a full review on my coffee IG @cuppacoffeechronicles but the short of it is, the channel orange blew my mind, but then again so did the pappy, the Lana Del fog, and the motorhead. I’ve also tried the almond croissant, the bacon scone and the miso cookie. Can you tell I’m a fan? Plus the location and vibes inside are so good, I wish there was a discourse in my city!

I happened to find this coffee shop while exploring Milwaukee during my first trip to the state. Upon entering I loved the ambiance of the space. Everything on the menu sounded so tempting it made making a selection hard. Thankfully some natives did give their suggestions as I waited in line. I ended up getting a latte and tried their banana bread. Not only was the banana bread delicious but the welcoming barista Noelie ended up making me the best latte I had ever had! I will definitely return to Discourse on any return visits just for a sweet repeat. The excellent latte and delicious banana bread made for a lasting impression!

Simply amazing coffee shop. It is so unique with a music vibe. They were really helpful on trying to modify a menu item to support my vegan palette 😂. unique and obscure coffee offerings make this a must try.

We tried the Disco Breakfast Sammy with mushroom frittata, tomato-pepper jam, and spicy microgreens, plus the Spicy Tomato Croissant. We also had a cold coffee with a flaming rosemary sprig and the Pappy coffee. The flavor combinations were unusual - like melon, strawberry with bacon and radish microgreens - but they worked beautifully 🍓😍 A strange experience in the best way possible, with wonderfully friendly staff.
