We have 4 dogs because of our blended fam- which is not easy! The Dog Retreat center created a tailored plan to help us best train our crew and had amazing trainers, communication and follow up. We will keep working with them and even feel comfortable boarding our dogs again!!!

I have two dogs who’ve been trained and go to daycare at the Dog Retreat Center when I need to be in the office. One of my dogs is an easy peasy King Charles Cavalier raised from a puppy, and the other is a recently adopted 4 y/o Rottweiler who was under socialized and fearful. Two dogs with very different needs! Being a single working professional, it’s been so amazing having the support of patient and experienced trainers to set up my pups up to be stable and sensible dogs, and keep them busy during long workdays. You can feel the positive and calm vibration when you are in the space. My Cavalier is growing into a confident, well mannered youth pup, and my new Rottie has made unbelievable progress. In just 4 weeks she’s car, crate and potty trained, and is able to safely meet new dogs and people, and even make new friends! It has been such a joy to watch her change every day when she comes home and ease into her personality without developing bad habits. While I think there’s no substitute for long off-leash hikes, training and building a relationship with your dog, The Dog Retreat Center is an invaluable foundation and supplement and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Adopted a rowdy girl from the shelter and reached out to DRC before I even picked her up! It was after hours yet D’Andra got back to me immediately. She gave me all kinds of information! I took my dog there for an initial evaluation, which she ended up doing 10 days of daycare and train. It was money well spent!!!! My dog has become much more respectful to me and other dogs. She listens much better, without even having to use words! All body language and she follows it. They invite you in and show you what they’ve been learning and teach you as the parent, how to do it all with your dog! I can’t say enough good things about this place and all the employees!

Seriously worth every penny. Best Place with the Best People! I was nervous that my stubborn 2year old pit (who I just rescued a few months before) was stuck in certain behaviors that wasn't working. With the help of DRC not only did my girl learn and grow but I GAINED so much knowledge. Helped me be a better leader for her and our relationship has never been better. My dog and I have this new respect for eachother. Thank you Savanah and Tiff!! And of course Thank you d'Andra.

Do not hesitate to check this place out. We had a very unruly eight month-old 70 pound puppy. What a remarkable transformation in just a five day program with the Dog Retreat Center. He can now walk on a leash without distraction, obeys on command, and is such a pleasure compared to how he used to be. A shout out to Savannah who is his trainer. She really helped us to understand our dog so much better. We highly recommend the Dog Retreat Center for training, daycare, and boarding.
