I was in a bad way after my lateral meniscus knee surgery, when the doctor and clinic were not providing the answers or support I needed to see me through. One year ago I couldn’t do any of the physical activities that were my daily practice. Through a friend I was introduced to Dr. Nicole, who expertly diagnosed my condition and immediately provided a plan that was the bridge I needed to recovery. One year later, at age 56, I feel I’m in better physical condition than I have ever been, and I thank Dr. Nicole for it. Dr. Nicole is so amazing! I had my evaluation session with her and she walked me through several exercises to diagnose my main issues with my hip and very clearly broke down how I could address the issues. She laid out a thorough plan and was willing to make any adjustments needed to fit what I was capable of! 100% recommend to anyone looking for a PT in east bay!
I met Dr. Nicole at a recent event surrounding wellness, Healing Era, and immediately loved her energy! I came by for an initial evaluation to help with post concussion symptoms and get an overall understanding of my body and ways I can strengthen up for bouldering. This first session with her was such an eye opener, because she actually pointed out my areas of improvement, which is not what I expected at all. She gave me a simple warm up to help strengthen my shoulders, and since the two weeks from my initial eval, I was able to send my first 2 v6s in bouldering! The plan she created for me was very thoughtful, and specifically targeted my weaker points, because I definitely feel the soreness in these muscles I haven't been focusing on. I'm very grateful for the knowledge and insight she provides, and am excited to continue working with her!
Dr. Nicole is an amazing Physical Therapist. My experience in working with her is nothing short of five stars. And I've worked with (unfortunately) quite a few PT's in my life. I was referred to her for my nagging rotator cuff issues. After two rounds of PT elsewhere, and the pain and lack of movement continuing, I had decided I would need to get surgery, as my orthopedist had suggested. In our first session, she gave me confidence that we could strengthen the cuff and avoid surgery. She also allowed me to figure out the frequency we'd meet, as it didn't need to be the twice weekly my prior PT's required. Each session, she'd do assessment of my progress and give me a few new exercises to practice at home. I really appreciated how her recommendations were very personalized to where I needed strengthening, rather than a standard prescription. When i went back to my ortho in two or three months, he was impressed with my pain free range of motion and said i no longer needed surgery. Dr. Nicole meets me where I am each session. She answers all my questions and i never feel like I'm asking a stupid question. No body issue is too small to explore. By talking with her about a sore left elbow, we discovered I was straining my left arm to fit around the placement of my biking mirror. Even as she is very knowledgeable about anatomy and muscles, she is very approachable and put me at ease from our first interactions. After my shoulder healed, I have been bringing other complaints to her and she's recommended exercises that have helped strengthen and realign my muscles so the pain goes away. I highly recommend seeking her out for any of your injuries, especially if you are a little down and convinced you'll need to live with a painful body.
