I have just completed another 6 week block of Mat Pilates led by Louise. The classes are fantastic with a great group of people. Louise is so knowledgeable about Pilates & will happily tailor each exercise to support injury recovery, using her physio experience alongside. Louise has created a lovely space at Duo Pilates. It’s my first experience of Reformer Pilates and I’ve really enjoyed it so I’ve signed up for a second term. The groups are small so you get the right amount of support and it’s easy to ask questions if you need to. Louise is also my physio so I trust her to look after me well. I joined Louise at Duo Pilates to get back into exercise following birth. The postnatal classes are relevant, relaxing and focused on form and technique to get you maximum improvement. The fact that my little one can join us for the class aids in my ability to go and focus on me for a little bit. I especially like that Louise is a physio and knows all about form and she is so welcoming and friendly. I love the classes and recommend them to all who are pregnant or postnatal.
I had not practiced Pilates for a few years so felt a little apprehensive on joining a class. I needn’t have worried. Louise was warm and welcoming and her patient straightforward manner put me at ease as did the other friendly class members. The studio is an excellent spacious area and Mat classes are limited to 12 so Louise ensures everyone is getting attention and her knowledge with being a sports physiotherapist means you have total trust in her teaching. The classes are varied each week and you can choose the level you want to work at to challenge and improve your core strength and flexibility. Definitely recommend as an enjoyable, sociable way to exercise with excellent instruction.
A lovely airy studio, with a range of classes. I attended a 6 week course of reformer Pilates classes led by Louise who is so knowledgeable and supportive. Progression of movements and variety of exercises was brilliant and there was a clear focus on form and adjusting to suit us. I’m looking forward to my next course of mat Pilates starting next week.
