Went in for Nikki Savvas latest book Earthquake. After trawling through the displays found a sales "assistant " who i finally persuaded to check for me only to find it wasn't in stock. She couldn't be bothered with offering to order it in or check other stores. Went to Boffins and found it straight away. It's not as if it was even a niche book. Don't bother.

The service by staff is very good and the bookshop is having updated books for sale. Keep it up guys.

Love this place to get the latest releases! Lots of kids books too and a wide selection of cards and gifts. Some of the dymocks tote bags are cute but a tad pricey! Choose the ones on sale at $5. Ted was friendly and genuinely love his job. He greeted some regulars with cheeriness. Love chatting with him. Would definitely return tomorrow! --- Update : I went back the next day, 11 June, to check out more books. There was a girl there who assisted me who wasn't as friendly as Ted. I guess you can't have it all. Overall, still a great place within the shopping area to drop by for gifts and to pick up new reads. Still highly recommended!

Dymocks is of Perth's two remaining brick and mortar book stores, the other being Boffins. It is centrally located on Hay Street and caters for popular books. It is not known for its stock of technical books. On the other hand, if you are after technical books, then you will have a better chance of finding it in Boffins.

other than the great selection of books, they have a section for great gift ideas. also, a corner with official Moleskine stuff. do watch out for their clearance sale section too - there's the occasional bargains on some really good books/items
