Edit: Opportunities for sliding scale and time trade are now being offered for events! Ask your event coordinator to be sure as it's still dependent on each event to adopt this offering. ---------- Decent venue structurally: sound is good and floors are nice. Yet for a community space in OAKLAND the prices aren't very reflective of the capitalized oppression of those less privileged in the surrounding neighborhood. I have asked multiple times about sliding scales, or pricing options for those less monetarily advantaged. There has been no response or apparent consideration of these marginalized people who need community and a space much more than anyone who currently "supports" the space with fiat currency. 😞 I hope this may spark a review of the monetary practices employed and culminate in more choices to allow everyone the opportunity to participate.

I did an event at this place and the space was huge! Very interesting spot. I do remember when this used to be Leo's Audio back in the day. Good to see there are others who enjoy the space as well. I'm definitely coming back soon!

Awesome community space with a great floor for dancing, a loft area up above and a nice stage for the DJ. It's well-ventilated and has a number of ceiling fans that give superb air flow. The bathroom, locker room and changing area is all co-ed and with gender-neutral restrooms. There's also a sliding door that connects to the rest of the building space including a walkway to the Well Organic Kitchen.

This is a wonderful even space. They have good size stage and beautiful dance floor. There several smaller places upstairs that can be used for workshops. Gender neutral bathrooms are clean and spacious. There is a kitchen with a serving counter. Exit signs are lit . There is also an outdoor patio. This is a perfect even place for many occasions

This new venue/community space is amazing!! A huge floor for dancing/yoga events and an upstairs that is cozy and warm with couches and chairs. Can't wait for the Cafe and Maker space to open soon! I also teach Curvy yoga on Fridays @ noon, so I'm a bit biased. Come check it out!
