Trilliant Dance Studio is hands down my favorite studio to go to. It truly feels like a second home. I love everything about this space — especially the flooring, which makes such a difference when you’re dancing. The studio is clean, welcoming, and has such a great energy. The owner, Jan, is amazing. She’s super sweet and very responsive, especially when it comes to booking or renting a room, which makes everything really easy. I’ve taken multiple classes here with different choreographers, and every experience has been positive. There’s a strong sense of community, and you can tell the studio brings in really great talent. I’m honestly just so happy this studio is part of our community and that I have a place like this to call my dance home.

So I went to check out Trilliant Studios in Oakland last night that had a Valentine’s event also. The mostly salsa holiday event was hosted by Salsamania and included one excellent salsa performance. I arrived at around 9:45p. I LOVED the wooden floor! No powder was needed! There weren’t many leads at first, but more dancers arrived later. The music started off good, but then it got worse as the night wore on! Even the bachata music was horrible! There were dancers of various ages and levels, but most of them were advance dancers. However, only about 5-6 leads asked me to dance. I asked one lead to dance bachata, but he said that he didn’t dance bachata. I asked another lead to dance bachata, and he frowned while we danced. Most of the dancers appeared arrogant and cliquish! Because I felt like an unwelcomed outsider invading their space, I won’t be back. There was plenty of free parking and a clean bathroom. However, you had to buy bottled water at the bar. Overall, I rate them 2 out of 5 dancers for the poor experience. 💃🏾💃🏾

The place has plenty of free parking but the dancing experience not great ok. To pay for a event called salsamania is kind of expensive and if you dont go often many dancers wont dance with you. One time i was there and restrooms were not clean and sometimes the dancing room was packed and couldnt dance.so one star.
