Great experience with Zara. She really listened, put my mind at ease and explained the treatment plan thoroughly. She was great at communicating, knowledgeable & very kind and understanding. Would recommend to everyone.
Wonderful experience with Riccardo. Very educational and his sports massages have really helped the asymmetrical issues in my shoulders, back and hip.
I started having TMJ issues following a root canal treatment. The right side of my jaw would clicks is if it was popping in and out of the socket, not only when eating, but also when moving the jaw from side to side. I also had the sensation of pressure on the right temple. A mouth guard from my dentist didn't seem to help much so I looked up physiotherapists specialising in TMJ in Edinburgh and I came across Richard. After the first few weeks from the first appointment my problems got much better. The popping went almost completely away, at least when doing non-trivial movement with the jaw, such as eating. The muscular tension that I was building up also started easing with the massages and the exercises that I was given to do in my own time. Based on the fact that I've had the problem for many months, and only when I started the treatment I felt improvements, I would say the regular visits to the clinic have been the key factor in my journey to regaining normal functionality of the TMJ.
A few months ago I started feeling pain in the back of my right kneed when running more than 10-12 minutes. It was a sudden pain that forced me to stop every time I tried running. During a session with Brian he managed to spot a swollen lymph node on the top of the calf, very well hidden behind other soft tissue. Being behind the knee made it impossible for me to find it with the muscles relaxed enough but he managed to stop the issue. Massaged it and a few days after I was running for more than 30 minutes. I'm going building it up again step by step. He made me smile again when running. Very grateful to his experience and knowledge. Thanks a lot, Brian.
Can't recommend Edinburgh Sports and + Spinal Physio enough. I began treatment with Shauna Duffy in April - she was very professional and was able to write me up a rehab programme that has seen very quick results already. I've carried this injury for a number of years and had given up hope with it but Shauna really knew what she was talking about and adapted the programme at every session without over-loading. I'll be able to run again in a couple of weeks, something which I haven't been able to do for years. Their online portal is really useful for doing your exercises too and the admin team always get back to your quickly. Can't thank her and the clinic enough!
