Excellent experience!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Fabulous food.... Amazing owner and staff. Real authentic flavours and super cute atmosphere. If you love Mexican food then this is definately the hidden gem you need to check out. The chicken tacos were to die for and the house made salsa added ther real personal touch. Also.. By far thee best refried beans I have ever had👌 The location is really nice too for us folk up on the mountain🤗 Please check them out so they stick around forever❤️❤️❤️

El Cabrón Cantina is a fantastic restaurant on the Hamilton Mountain, and is in the running for my favourite quesabirria tacos. They have a ton of gluten free options, and a dedicated gluten free fryer; so my wife was able to choose from a wide selection of menu items. We started with the Chilaquiles Rojos and it was really good, especially with their house made hot sauce. My wife had chicken empanadas for her main and she loved them. It’s a small restaurant packed with big flavours. The owner spent about 15 minutes talking to us about the restaurant, the neighborhood, how the food is made, where the recipes came from, etc. Definitely recommend checking this one out.

What a fantastic find! I was so impressed with my experience here. The staff was so warm, welcoming and made me feel like a friend… not a customer.. The interior decor is charming, but the food is the real star. I ordered the Quesabirria (mine was without cheese), and it was phenomenal. The shredded meat was seasoned so good and it was so incredibly tender and flavorful. What elevated the dish even further was the accompanying consommé… ughhhh it was, without a doubt, the most flavorful consommé I have ever tasted. I also tried the plantain, and they were cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy edges and a tender, sweet interior. This is now my go to spot for authentic, high quality Mexican food! Thank you to the staff! 10/10

HIGHLY recommend checking out this authentic restaurant. Visited for the first time on their Taco Tuesday and was happily surprised. I’ve found my new favourite Latin American restaurant that serves generous portions of Quesabirria tacos. We also ordered their Chilaquiles, Tinga Chicken tacos and Tres Leche dessert. Everything came freshly prepared. Best I’ve ever had across the board. I’ll have to come back to try everything on the menu! I could go on about how much I love El Cabrón Cantina. A warm, charming, family run business that has A+ friendly service, exceptional food, and beautiful cozy atmosphere.

El Cabrón Cantina is a true gem for anyone looking for authentic Mexican food! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with warmth and genuine friendliness, and the owner’s kindness really stood out. He went above and beyond to make our experience special, even making sure our friend got her birthday treat, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. Every dish we tried was incredibly fresh, bursting with authentic flavors, and clearly made with care and passion. The ingredients tasted vibrant, and it’s obvious that quality is a priority here. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable for the experience and the quality of food. The atmosphere, combined with the exceptional service and delicious, authentic Mexican dishes, makes this a place we’ll definitely be returning to again and again. El Cabrón Cantina isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience you feel in every bite and every interaction.
