there is a review on here stating that the cafe treated someone disgracefully but I was at the cafe during the altercation and the customer actually the one in the wrong screaming and yelling at other patrons and staff while discriminating the barista that was serving her. the owner was trying to de escalate and was being extremely professional and accountable before ultimately having to ask her to leave. To give a positive review the coffee is absolutely amazing and all the staff are warm and welcoming. I absolutely love coming to this cafe and supporting locally owned businesses!
Great place IMO, can get busy as it’s fresh foods + thanks to being off 17th with generous plugs 🤣. Not heavily staffed, so not for a rush, but I bet it keep prices down & quality up. Local artwork varies, added eye candy! Breakfast menu is ethnic (Turkish?)🤟
I was really disappointed about this trip to Element. I usually order a vanilla latte which I find pricey compared to other places but it’s usually very good - not too sweet but still flavourful. This time, I went with a friend to try their latte flights. She also got a cinnamon bun. 46 dollars later for two flights (4 taster-sized lattes each) and a treat, we were so disappointed. It took about 20 minutes for her bun to come to our table, cold. 25 minutes total for the lattes to come out. They had a problem with one of the whipped creams apparently. Unfortunately, they must have made the lattes a while before that because they were cold when we got them. They were also so ghastly sweet I could only drink one before feeling a bit sick snd didn’t finish the rest. My friend had been here for the latte flights before and said her previous experience was significantly better. For almost 50 dollars for coffee, I expected these to blow my socks off but unfortunately left pretty disappointed. My other note is that there are no changing stations in the bathroom, so my friend had to change her 2 month old awkwardly at our table (on a changing pad she brought).
I came around 4:30pm yesterday and odered the matcha latte with condensed milk and the banana latte. Matcha was bland and the banana latte did not taste like bananas except for the ones at the top. Service was excellent though by this lady with brown hair and red lipstick (I think).
I ordered an apple cinnamon knot, a saffron lavender latte and pumpkin spice latte. They were all really good and would order again! The atmosphere was already nice. The one down side to our visit was the girl on reception with brown dark. She was rude and was mixing up many customers orders from the food to a drink going into the wrong hands 2 times. When I went to order she was fixing payment machine and told me wait, I told her take your time then she look at me as I guilty or do something wrong. I repeated to please take your time and the very rudely she said back I heard you. The other girl with the blond was trying to help and was very kind.
