I’ve been training in the art of Muay Thai at EMA for a little over a year now, and honestly it has been one of the best experiences ! The gym itself is well maintained and clean. The instructors are well knowledgeable of Muay Thai and I’m not just talking about the art itself but, also traditionally. The environment provided is super welcoming and everyone is extremely friendly ! Everyone there from the instructors to the students are all open to helping and teaching any newcomers the proper techniques, which is nice to know especially if you are hesitate or scared to start training. Lastly, the conditioning here is intense ! But in a good way.. meaning if you’re looking for somewhere to get a proper workout while learning how to defend yourself this is the place ! You’ll get great quality training with a set of dope instructors and classmates ! I would recommend anyone to stop by EMA and give it a shot, trust me you won’t be disappointed !

Elite Martial Arts Toronto is outstanding. Professional instructors, challenging but supportive classes, a welcoming atmosphere, and very good membership rates. Great for building fitness, confidence, and real martial arts skills. Highly recommended.

Nothing but great things to say about Elite. The trainers are top notch, super friendly and approachable. The classes are a good mix of skill levels. Safe for the beginner and challenging enough for intermediate level people. You will work your butt off but its very rewarding and fun! Dan, the owner, is an awesome and extremely kind guy. I picked up some knocks that wouldn't allow me to train for awhile. He went out of his way to make sure I wouldn't lose out on my membership. He's a very fair guy. I really appreciate it, Dan! You run such a great martial arts studio! Thank you again!

Experience Overview My brief period here was nothing short of fantastic, thanks to the enriching Women's Beginner Krav Maga course. I was allow to attend one free class in the beginning to ensure that it was the right fit for me and that is a fantastic process to have. The instructors, led by the exemplary Dan Novak, were not just experts in their field but also genuinely passionate about teaching and ensuring the safety and progress of every student. Their patience, clarity in explanation, personalized corrections, and occasional humor made each class an enjoyable and unique experience. The curriculum was well-structured, offering insights into a variety of self-defense scenarios while also ensuring a vigorous workout. The school holds regular belt testing, and tournaments for you to participate or observe. There are also events, which adds to the community building. Facilities Insight The martial arts center shares its amenities with Pure Life Fitness, where additional services like locker rentals are available. The staff at both establishments are welcoming and helpful, adding to the overall positive environment. Access to the facilities requires the use of a specific app, ensuring security and ease of entry. The Elite Martial Arts area itself boasts a spacious practice environment. A note on cleanliness: while a no-outdoor-shoes policy is stated, adherence seems lax, leading to occasional floor debris. This minor issue aside, the space is well-maintained and conducive to learning. It is also in One York Building, where there is food and shops within. It is also quite close to the TTC. (Note: I would love it if they got a different timer, it goes off 10 seconds to early, haha) Important Note A personal oversight worth mentioning for the benefit of others: the membership transitions to a month-to-month plan after the initial period concludes. Opting out requires a 60-day written notice. This detail, while entirely my responsibility, is something future attendees might want to keep in mind to manage their commitments effectively. Overall, I recommend this school for anyone looking to learn self defense or just get a good workout! Kudos to all the staff there.

I've been with Elite Martial Arts for 7 years. Started as a Krav Maga student and last year obtained my Black Belt. I had a Muay Thai background prior. I now have the distinct honour of teaching both arts for the school. Elite Martial Arts strives for professionalism from the staff to insure a positive learning experience for the students. I've worked with students that couldn't skip at their first class and after 6 months of consistent classes they found their fitness and co-ordination. It's a wonderful thing to watch students grow on a regular basis.
